  • Sniper pvp?

    Looking to get into the PVP scene after being a pure PVE player since i started the game a few years back. I have a Sniper, but couldnt find anything on any PVP guides for her. Was wondering if anyone could help answer the following questions.

    1. How viable is she in PVP vs the other classes?
    2. Anyone got a skill build?
    3. What gears should i try and get for PVP?
    4. What are some skill rotations that i should use during PVP?

    Well to start, what the fuck would u need rotations for pvp? You don't really need gear either. Equalize is always on tbh. You'll just put on a costume and look real flashy!!!

    I don't even play archers hehexd

    also, let's just say that snipers piss anyone off in pvp

      1. Snipers are currently viable, awakening patch, etc.

      2. I don't main sniper ;(

      3. No gear needed, unless you plan to fight with unequalised mode. Costume weapon is a pretty nice add, the +1 skill.

      4. I don't play Sniper, but from what I've seen and understand so far.. you always use Siege Stance and shoot from far away. Use your other skills to escape people trying to kill you.
      Once you load up 5 (I think?) charges with Siege Stance, you press your Charged Shot and hold to charge it.

        From past experience with sniper and current options a skill build would be something along the lines of this:

        From the current pve build, you'd drop piercing shot and its passive completely, drop acs to 11 to get guided arrows, and raise ankle shot to max for the duration. since twin shot would be better because of the fast casting, I'd raise it to 11. Fake shot is dropped to 1 since the cooldown is the same at all levels. doing that and getting multi shot will leave you with 2 spare sp, to use in a kick passive if you want it.
        Alternatively, if you can pull off piercing shot, leave twin and acs at 1 and get the piercing passive. 40% phys every 2 seconds is not bad damage. Something like this:

        As for playstyle, you'd be spending a lot of time firing from afar. Siege stance is perfect for this, along with S: Charged Shot. Staggering someone with twin leaves them open for a fake shot> bullseye> ankle combo where you can lead with more siege for bubbles, RoA ins if the window's still there, or a wind shot (5.5 sec root on ankle is pretty long). Stunning shot's 100% stun chance also does the trick.

        You would most likely leave camouflage for the inv effect rather than the speed buff on wind. A longer tumble means you get further away and more i-frame, coupled with a well aimed fake shot and that's some distance. if someone gets too close for comfort, you can tumble away, slide away, or use S:ACS to dodge. Else you have multi shot and S:RoA to keep them at bay. Flower gives you that extra cc power for those who you can't hit cuz of how much they move.
