Arcane Focus redirections not working?

Hello

I just hit 45 and tried to use the Arcane Focus redirections with Hovering Blade and Dent Blow.

I've read that it is bugged, but my problem is that it never worked ONCE.

I produce after-images and then hit an enemy with Arcane Focus but...nothing happens...

Did i miss something?

Arcane focus is just a debuff until you reach level 55, once you get Hovering Blade EX, hitting enemies with arcane will cause the EX images to home in. it only works on EX images and does not apply to the boomerang images when you use right click hovering blade EX
