Older Cash shop stuff is useless now? (Cash is necessary now?)

Just finding out that anything before the patch today obtained from eggs and stuff is now completely useless. There is no way to sell it and its just there to take up space. Basically, whoever can afford the most cash shop stuff after the patch will be able to thrive. Honestly, this is just a huge slap in the face, AFTER so many were looking forward to this. So for those of you that have been answering recently, is it STILL NOW possible to get geared or is the cash shop a necessity now to the game due to this recent update? I'm just not at all pleased. Sure if I COULD AFFORD THE EGGS AND OTHER STUFF, I'd be happy to at least contribute a little, but some of us aren't that lucky, are we? Dailies and Slayer stuff isn't going to be a good main source for those that can't just go buy everything they need with cash. There should be more events where there is at least an opportunity to get some nice premium stuff or it isn't going to be the effort and the game will continue to be slaughtered for anyone not shelling $100s of dollars a month for everything they need. I loved this game when it first came out, but now, i think honestly i would pay $30 or something like that to make this a pay to play game than actually find a way to have to spend just to get somewhere. Was no joke looking forward to selling my old stuff from like years ago, but after seeing now that i can't, now there is no way to catch up now...

This is actually Rare and other magic grade stuff i was talking about, like even before they took over. Apparently, they said anything epic that doesn't have a listing can be used to the new item they introduced. Anything before the patch it seems is rendered useless, which is why people now have to start buying eggs just today, i can't afford that myself and even if i could i know i wouldn't get anything from them. Instead of an improvement, i think within a week now, its going to be the final curtain for the game if this keeps up unless they have an emergency announcement addressing the issue. The fact ive been playing since beta and everything depends on cash shop and VIP, they should just consider subscription based play at this point.

Man people really will find anything to complain about. Most of those items would be useless to sell or trade anyway, unless you find someone who's a collector or hardcore into fashion nest and even then I doubt you'd be able to sell a single piece over 2k.

The only older cash gear piece that would be worth selling are the older dragon transformation set (but with the new accessories stats, why even bother) and the shiny red flower rings, everything else is pretty much obsolete.

If you need gold and are a f2p player, then start grinding, doing nests, selling mats. You can easily make gold there.

First of all, what on earth does being able to sell older cash items have to do with new players. Hell that wouldn't even benefit them, since they are new and thus wouldn't have access to them. Secondly, if you're not willing to spend money or grind, then I don't know why you're playing an mmo at all honestly. If you feel the need to buy gold, go ahead, just know there are plenty of players who do not and still make do.

Does this game shaft newer players? Yes, yes it does, however that's a discussion for another topic.

If the older cash items take up that much space for you and bother you by it, just destroy them. They're not gonna become tradable, be thankful that you actually CAN buy wings other than the fairy wings.

Also, keep your points consistent and relevant to one another, if you wanna argue that new players got it hard, do so with the right points instead of being able to sell older cash items.

Fine lets talk real then, forget the cash shop items, how about the stuff that IS in fact illegal everyday that happens. First, why would i buy gold just to get banned, waste of money and time. Second, why is selling "nest services" and cash a thing nowadays when its illegal as well and abuses the ToS, third, grinding is not the problem here, i grind and still can't manage to get any further than i am because in fact, you NEED to be geared and not at least carried once in a while, while shelling gold if you desperately need the carry. This can cause a lot of tension, including scams, inappropriate discussions not even dealing with the game, toxicity within the community that is unnecessary, and many other things that can in fact kill a game. And last but not least, it seems if the first thing that comes to mind is to make a player feel bad because they cant clear content easily that others can, and involving other subjects, like insults to injury, political ideas, and not to mention false bans. Idk how long you've played this game for and i give you any credit to whatever you may have accomplished, but things changed when ED took over. There's so many events involving buying things and the big slap in the face is a bunch of EXP events and stuff that is needed to clear that many cant even yet get used to. Why its just assuming that this is a cash shop thing is just absurd. Its this kind of judgment and assumtion that gets people to constant start stuff that is completely unnecessary and i can use this game as an example. I would rather go help a friend or a random stranger even if i didnt have the money for a meal or a favor if they were struggling than spend in a digital game to get what in return, most likely nothing and regret of doing so. The fact that everything is taxed just like you look into our society is absurd and shouldn't be. Games are meant to be enjoyed and an escape from everyday hassle, not an example of what goes on in the world today. Just in fact, you'd be the 4th to contradict my statements and use it as an example to bash what im pointing out. I however give you credit to not resorting to insults, threats, and politics like the first 2 did, and what sadly most people would resort to today. Not everything is easy, but if at least people tried to make it easier for others, there wouldnt be issues. Think about that for a second. Instead of quick thinking to the obvious title, think of what else is a problem too. Not everything is about just who's the richest person and who whines the most. its at least getting to have a new experience without the overall drama of life itself.

*Selling Nest services and cash are a thing because there's hardly anyone around to enforce the penalties, simple as that.

*VN HC & Hell (norm is a grey zone, since most ppl can burst down that one, they wouldn't mind carrying newer or less geared players)
*All limit break Nests
*Rune Dragon 4man norm/hc, 8 man norm/hc
*Slayer Mode (abyss)
*Nightmare lvl 95 Master

Here's content that you don't need as much gear to run:
*Dailies
*Treasure Dungeons (you can grind here too!)
*VN Norm
*Nightmare lvl 95 norm/hard
*Slayer Mode (norm/hard)

Toxicity HAS always been around in this game LONG before ED stepped in. Nexon was hardly any better at dealing with it, in fact the only things they did effective were bot control (to a degree anyway), gold buyers (although they did miss quite a bit), and their Ticket system (the only thing I'll say that they outbeat ED at).

If you're trying to run the higher end nests without being EITHER geared or experience, don't be surprise if people tear into you for it. Does it have to be that way? Hmm, I guess not, but keep in mind everyone has a different mindset than you. You may play games to enjoy and escape from the real world and seek out or give help, but there are others who play games to make progression (no matter how miniscule) and move up without having to worry about babysitting.

If you wanna avoid drama, then either go solo or don't engage with anyone whole heartily, drama is gonna be in ANY situation where there's more than one person engaged in any form of activity, the more people, the more chance for it to occur and flare out of control.

Don't get me wrong, can ED do more? Absolutely. But some of the things you spoke of, is more of the individual's fault or unwillingness.

Also, good on you for having the morality to help others.

Expecting everyone else however, to share that view point is presumptuous and naive, the world is cruel that way.

I'm not sure if I completely understand but it does look like old magic and rare stuff won't be tradeable/sellable. Kinda sucks for me since I wanted to buy some old fashion costumes (I don't care that the stats suck) and wanted to transfer stuff I don't use to other characters. So yeah, I guess old stuff is useless now.
