  • Problems with End Game Content rewards

Hey all, somewhat new player here. I started a few weeks ago and I really like the combat in this game but I wanna air out some things that are bugging me about the game.

    Content Rewards

how come so much of the end game content is unrewarding? These nests in particular: Manticore, Archbishop, Daidalos, Desert Dragon (including the hardcore versions), TKN

The rewards for beating them are kinda junk and there are regular dungeons that give better stuff. Doing Twisted Fountain gave me way more loot than Manticore and Archbishop. And even doing the new dungeons on Master. Daidalos rewards are kinda crummy too. The gear drops are worse than the gear you get in the new dungeons.

Then let's look at the Desert Dragon Nest. Gear drops again aren't much better than dungeon drops. also the evolution shards have a terrible drop rate and its super luck based when picking the chest. It would take ages to get a full set of evo coma gear. I dont mind working for gear but this is kinda crazy since the stats aren't even that good considering the amount of work u have to put in to get them.

The nests also barely drop anymore gold than dungeons. so while doing some of these nests is fun it feels pointless since you dont get much at all.

The new TKN nest isn't much better than just grinding the new dungeons on abyss. what is the point?

I did my TKN runs today in about 30 minutes but grinding a dungeon like Black Lake on abyss in the same amount of time gave me the same sort of rewards but more. It makes no sense.

I grinded zephyra plains for two hours after and got more gold than whatever I got in all the nest runs I did. I just dont get it.

Anyone else think the rewards are kinda messed up in this game?

it just makes no sense. spend a ton of time doing a bunch of harder content and you barely get anything. I even did IDN 4 man which took a couple of tries and the equipment you get from that is barely better than evo coma and accessories are barely better than 93 stuff. ended up getting an evo coma focus one run, but it's untradeable so I can't even sell it.

Evo Shards are hella easy to get now. I got 20+ since the transfer. But yeah rewards are terrible besides shards and evo drops. Everything really ends up being IDN L grades.

If you aren't working towards genesis rings and clearing idn 8man then yeah 90% the content feels like a waste of time to do. Been like this for awhile.

There's something called PVP, I dunno what it is, but let's take a look.

I still find it fun to use what they have to offer in the first.. first you get coma.. then you evolve it in the future. You can also use 93 epics to get good enough to clear DDN pretty easily.. which is where you get shards to evolve your equips with enough of them.. The only problem with that is the rng and time. That's why coma shards are in IDN too. I will agree that the game lacks great rewards for end game.. but it doesn't lack good rewards.

Yeah its kind of dumb. before nests were exclusive because you needed the crafting mats from them. now like its 2 or 3 garnets and maybe a chance at ultimate theano or cornura

93 abyss already gives you base theano and garnets and like everyone says is a lot more time efficient, I think this is why 90 cap was uninteresting. The first two nests were really unintuitive and made you feel like shet after beating them. Oh you got to 90 and did your first nests, heres an altheum and a goddess aura.

TKN is more intuitive but I feel like Desirous Theano should be more common from it. In the time it takes me to do a TKN run, I can do 6-7 runs of a 93 Abyss and make more money unless RNGsus gives me an ultimate theano.

its been like this since 90 cap, like every nest is not worth time u put in it... I usually do them for fun and for guild points with guild but besides that its not worth it :L in the end its about how much ppl are willing to slave themselves to boring dungeons that put u to sleep z.z oh and farming/merc explo zz gona go sleep bibi

The only thing I can really agree with is how underwhelming TKN was. I cleared it without much knowledge of the revamps in less than 15 minutes with 2 ppl who never ran it before. Once we cleared it I just sat there like "...That was it? That's what we waiting a year for?"

I do recall 60 cap (the cap that nest was released in, alongside Professor K nest), was one of my most financially rewarding caps, as I started 40 cap late. Honestly my viewpoint right now is if you can sell it, sell it, and save the gold til the economy slows down.

Yeah, the nests aren't really that rewarding compared to just straight up dungeon farming. I've only been doing them for Guild Points and Daily Missions on the reward side of things.

Tkn for chances to get 3rd line plates, Idn 4man for practice, Idn 8man for Idn hc passes, Idn hc for rewarding content. The other stuff is just filler

The nests should either give a lot of gold (100+?) or shards... would be nice. Maybe laments in addition to auras (been running nests for auras + guild points anyways). Or shards instead of equipment drops since those can be obtained in dungeons anyways

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. Just don't see how they expect the players who aren't already heavily invested in the game to stick around with this type of design where easy dungeons have better time:reward ratio than most of the end game content.

This would work if a good 3rd line plate wasn't like 1 in 200 and IDN hc is actually possible. We could gather the absolute 8 most geared players in a perfect composition and NA would still not be able to clear HC.

Is IDNHC that difficult or is it the whole obscene amounts of hp issue?
