  • KR May Patch balancing translation

    Hey guys, the May patch is out in KR and the balance update is HUGE. So until Vahr puts a more organized one on his blog, here's something you can reference. Apologies if some of the skill names are not ones used in NA, but for the most part it should be fairly accurate.

    lmk if you see an error to be fixed

    *Due to word count restrictions, this'll be divided into two parts.
    **This is only the PvE section, as I don't rly care about PvP balancing
    ***There's an error in the patch notes. In KR server, the LK CM II currently provides 30% dmg buff, not 18%. So effectively this will be 30% to 15% change.

    Also... spin-off classes now have an option to maintain their costume looks after transformation. WOOHOO (except for RM, for obv reasons)

    Balance changes:
    Swordmaster: Hemorrhage cd reduced from 22 sec to 20 sec
    .
    Gladiator:
    Line Drive EX attack increased from 120% to 150%
    Finish Attack EX cd increased from 18 sec to 20 sec
    CM II: Self-dmg buff decreased from 18% to 15%
    (Awakened) Triple Slash: Max level attack increased. 1, 2, 4, 5th attack increased from 1853% to 2168% and 3rd attack increased from 2316% to 2709%
    (Awakened) Deep Straight: Max level attack increased from 4319% to 5264%
    Hyper Drive cd increased from 18 sec to 20 sec and attack increased from 19700% to 23049%
    .
    Lunar Knight:
    Half Moon Slash: Decrease cd by 6 sec
    CM II: Self-dmg buff decreased from 18% to 15%. Half Moon Slash Instant no longer shares cd
    CM III: Impact Wave cd reduced by 4 sec. If Crescent Cleave is used after Impact wave, the character will jump and slam down, sending four slashes in a small width cone (dmg amplified per hit, i.e. 2 hits -> x2 dmg, 4 hits ->x8 dmg)
    (Awakened) Passive, Moonlight Splitter: Damage increased by 150%. Can now press left click to chain (Awakened) Cyclone Slash
    Smash EX: dmg increased from 22977% to 26883%

    Mercernary
    Punishing Swing: dmg increased from 2828% to 2969%
    Circle Bomb: dmg increased from 2439% to 3049%
    .
    Destroyer:
    Provoke: New skill. cd 10 sec, duration 15 sec
    Charging Howl: reduce cd from 75sec to 60sec
    Punishing Swing EX: remove threat
    CM I: dmg increase reduced from 20% to 15%
    CMII: ^ likewise
    CMIII: dmg-buff increased from 400% to 700%
    Assault Crush: dmg increased from 16438% to 18092%(edited)
    Crash Mode: Attack power decreased.
    forward movement: decrease from 298% to 263%
    normal attack: decrease from 4165% to 3686%
    special attack: 5950% to 5265%
    jump: 2975% to 2633%
    reduce cd from 25 sec to 15 sec

    Avenger:
    Doom Blade: increase action speed slightly
    Vengeance Storm: increase action speed slightly

    Acrobat
    Spiral Kick: increase dmg from 1507% to 1657%
    Eagle's Descent: dmg increase from 2514% to 2765%
    can be activated with left click while in air with exception of Spiral Kick, Spirit Firing, and Circle Shot
    Blooming Kick: dmg increase from 3084% to 3393%
    Cyclone Kick: dmg increase from 4508% to 4959%
    Airwalk: dmg range increased from .5m radius to 1m radius
    Spiral Edge: increase cd from 90 sec to 125sec

    WindWalker:
    Showtime: "Enhanced" Spiral Edge dmg decrease from 200% to 150%
    Rising Storm: dmg increase from 6202% to 6823%
    Spiral Kick EX: dmg increased from 30% to 50%. Now use 'jump' instead of 'normal attack' to chain.
    now cannot use Spirit Firing right after first Spiral Kick EX
    Eagle's Descent EX: dmg increase from 30% to 50%
    Blooming Kick EX: dmg increse from 30% to 50%. debuff duration increased from 10 sec to 20 sec
    can now use 'special attack' after to chain into Spiral Kick
    Cyclone Kick EX: dmg increase from 30% to 50%. action speed increase from 30% to 50%. can use 'special attack' button after to chain into Spiral Kick
    CM I: Spiral Edge's cd recovery increased from 20sec to 30sec
    CM III: airborne skill chain dmg decreased from 20% to 15%
    Flash Kick: slight increase in height gained from using the skill. Current creation increased per hit from 1 to 3
    (Awakened) Passive Ride Current: everytime ride current is used, recover 1% HP. (Awakened) Eagle's Descent visual effect changed. Rising Storm now has 20% dmg increase. Switft Attack dmg increase 50% -> 70%
    (Awakened) Passive Spiral Edge: New Skill. Spiral Edge's dmg increased by 30%. Spiral Edge has reduced time during which player is committed to skill (aka time during which they cannot cancel). Increase iframe duration of skill
    (Awakened) Passive Spiral Kick: Deleted
    (Awakened) Passive Showtime: Current creation decreased from 8 to 4
    (Awakened) Passive Wind of Recovery: New skill
    when Current is 100, HP is recovered every 2 sec by 1% of max hp
    (Awakened) Passive Air Walk: New Skill. Upon successful hit of Air Walk, gain 3 Current. 20% chance of obtaining Enhanced Air Walk, which has 400% increased damage (3 sec before expiring) with increased hit range.

    Saleana
    Inferno: decrease cd from 16 sec to 15sec
    Fire Bird: debuff duration increased from 10 sec to 20sec. cd decreased from 18 sec to 15 sec
    Inferno EX: increase dmg. inferno dmg increase from 60% to 100%, additional hit dmg increase from 40% to 60%. debuff duration increase from 10sec to 20 sec. can now cast other abilities mid-animation
    Rolling Lava EX: can now use 'special attack' to explode the magma on spot, applying end-dmg at once
    CM III: no longer increases Fire Burst cd
    (Awakened) Passive Fire Wall: dmg increase from 60% to 35%. can now use 'special attack' to add another original Fire Wall animation, dealing 80% of Awakened dmg
    now deals reduced dmg on super armor
    (Awakened) Passive Fever Mastery: Fever stack gain chance reduced from 50% to 35%. Trigger to gain Fever changed from FireWall/Ignite to Inferno/FireBird/Ignite. If Fever is gained, Summon Meteor cd reduced by 30%. Fever now enhances Flame Burst only
    (Awakened) Passive Fire Mastery: fire attack dmg decreased from 20% to 15%
    (Awakened) Summon Meteor: Now always drops 3 meteors. dmg per meteor decreased from 6360% to 5724%. residual heat dmg increased from 1908% to 2290%. can now cast other abilities during delay between cast and metors falling(edited)
    (Awakened) Flame Burst: dmg decreased from 6720% to 4509%
    Enhanced Flame Burst: Eliminated cooldowns
    (Awakened) Fire Wall: increase hits from 1 to 4 (no change in overall dmg)

    Smasher
    Arcane: dmg buff decreased from 16% to 15%
    Linear Ray EX: hit count per charge increased. 1 charge = 5 hit -> 8hit. 2 charge 5 hit -> 10 hit (no change in overall dmg). cd decreased by 5 sec
    Force Mirror EX: cast time shortened
    CM III: now has faster casting animation from Shockwave to Laser Cutter
    Laser Ray: pressing 'normal attack' will cast Enhanced laser and parabola-drawing laser and will stop if 'normal attack' is not pressed (increased laser energy consumption if used). dmg decreased from 520% to 340%. If Enhanced, consumes 8 stacks per second. Enhanced laser dmg is equivalent to Laser Ray dmg.
    Energy Blast: refitted to match the thematic effect of other Smasher's skills. cd decreased from 25 sec to 15sec. no longer uses Laser Energy. can now use full charge Linear Ray EX after evading backwards. can now use in the middle of Laser Ray. if it does not hit on-cast, the dmg afterwards is decreased from 7100% to 2800%.
    (Awakened) Eraser: can now cast other skills mid-animation
    (Awakened) Passive Laser Cutter: no longer uses Laser Energy. reduces Laser Cutter cd by 5 sec. no longer increases Laser Cutter dmg. if Laser Cutter is used, Laser Ray's dmg is increased by 20% for 10 sec
    (Awakened) Passive Fast Forward: cd increased from 60 sec to 90 sec. instantly recover Force Shield cd on-cast.
    (Awakened) Passive Eraser: when Laser Energy is maxed out, Eraser cd is reduced by 20%
    (Awakened) Passive Nine Tail Laser: reduce number of cooldown stacks from 3 to 2

    Mara
    Void Coil: super armor defense decreased
    .
    Paladin
    Provoke: removed
    Divine Judgement: no longer causes enemies to be airborne
    .
    Cleric
    Aura of Healing: buff duration increased from 300sec to 900sec
    .
    Guardian
    Provoke: new skill. critical strike chance reduction removed. cannot increase past lvl 1. cd 10 sec, duration 15 sec
    Stance of Faith EX: will now recover HP even if block wasn't on accurate timing (3% HP recovery). If blocked with accurate timing, HP recovery decresed from 10% to 5%. can now cast Sliding Step after block, before end of animation.
    Divine Punishment EX: duration decrease from 900sec to 90sec
    Guardian Force: cd reduced from 75sec to 60sec
    Overwhelm: dmg decreased from 12138% to 10924%
    .
    Saint
    Immortality: reworked. now instantly applies iframe onto allies. does not save from certain mechs, including "wipes". 3 sec duration
    Great Heal: HP recovery increased from 30% to 35%
    Relic of Cure EX: cd reduction increased from 45 sec to 55 sec
    (Awakened) Passive Holy Burst: now reduces Holy Burst cd by 5 sec

    Inquisitor
    Shock Transition: no longer transfers Electrocute, but dmg will still apply
    .
    Heretic/ArchHeretic
    Execute: cd decreased from 10sec to 8sec
    Evil Hand: debuff duration increased from 10 sec to 20 sec
    Carnage: dmg decreased from 1306% to 1077%
    [Nightmare] Carnage: attack range increased by 10%
    Death Gate: skill dmg changed from 4850%/12125% -> 4375%/10938%
    Brutal Soul: buff duration changed from 180 sec to 900 sec
    Deadly Blow: hitbox and charge distance increased
    Pain to Gain: cd increased from 30 sec to 60 sec
    Devastation/[Nightmare]Devastation: change in animation and skill. animation is drastically shortened and removed action speed increase during [Nightmare] state. creates a crack on-cast to attack, and press 'normal attack' to attack once more. dmg before and after transformation is now equal. after transformation, player can press 'normal attack' once more to strike a third time with a rising dark flame. dark flame applies 120% of crack damage. consumes 30 Nightmare Force. accurate hit with additional attacks consume 30 Nightmare Force each time.
    Land Corruption: corrupted land radius/duration increased. 8 sec -> 10 sec
    Evil Stain: changed from 0.5% str increase per [Nightmare Force] to generate 1 [Nightmare Force] every 2 sec
    Saw Blade: accurate hit on enemy now causes player to move forward a bit while spinning
    CM I: generate 1 [Nightmare Force] every 2 sec changed to 50% str increase
    CM III: Divine Combo skill dmg increase from 700% to 1900%. Divine Combo 'cd decrease' increased from 3 sec to 5 sec

    or it goes from 30- 27% *A Decrease of 3%* since they had an error in the first place. we'll have to wait for the release to find out what that actually is. but it'll still leave LK's at #1 DPS xD

      If they change the CM 3 for LK it would kill LK gameplay for me again.

        War Mage is a huge winner for this patch because the Bubble system will be gone for 2 out 3 skills making Laser Cutter and Energy Blast actually usable.

        For Both Pyromancer and War Mage it's not really a buff, but more like an actual rework of the Awakening part of the class. They buffed but also nerfed a few skills. It should be an power increase overrall and gameplay for both Sorc should feel faster.

        I'm a bit excited to Test Pyro after those changes, it actually solves the main problems of the class <3 A bit sad for Chaos Mage since they still got a useless Awakening.
