How do you use the Marketplace?

I talk to Erwin to go to the Marketplace, but for some reason I can't see so much as a single item listed there. I've tried specifically searching by item or type of item, but that's not bringing anything up either. Is the Marketplace currently inactive, is there something wrong, or is there something on the Marketplace screen that I have to do to see anything? I'm feeling sort of stupid about it, but I'l really like to get one of the more interesting mounts, spirits, or allies, and I don't really see how to do so outside of this.

Yeah, that got it. I was pretty sure I was just missing something obvious, but that one was shamefully so.
