Gearing for harder content

Hey everyone, I'm a relatively new player and was wondering how feasible it is to do hard content (such as IDN) with subpar gear (like Theano)? I'm a little stumped on how to get better gear - does enhanced Theano gear suffice, or should I aim for something higher? What's the best way to go about getting better equipment?

Grind Abyss Dungeons get theano gears to +12 or +13 get the right gems for them depending for your class. get the right plates and get lvl93 accessories rings etc and get the right gems for them. get a decent costume that will provide a decen stat and you're all good.

I'm honestly scared of breaking my weapons so I enhanced both theano sword and gauntlet to +10 and stopped right there. Would it be better to farm nightmare shards to get nightmare weapons and enhance to lower number? Although I have no idea how long it'll take to get each one.

use the jellies its cheap and some are free
