  • Too late to get into DN?

From what I've observed, only max lvl players play DN now. Is it too late to get to max lvl and become end game ready with low playerbase?

It takes a week of casually playing an hour a day to reach max level. There are a lot of pug (pick up group) parties available from the get go to complete simple nests and dailies.

The game is still very fun for completely novices or players coming back, though if you want to do end-game raids, you will have to work for it.

    Best course of action:

Start -> Join a guild for guidance -> Ask Questions -> Don't rely on others so much -> Take advantage of freebies given while leveling up -> get to level cap -> do dailies -> pug with randoms for small nests like PKN and TKN. etc...

A new class is also coming next update (19th January) so there will be probably lot of events for new players (search for Arch heretic on youtube in case you like it). End-game wil become more accessible since the end-game Raid will literally be twice easier if nothing goes wrong.

You still have lot of time to gear (At least until June-July) and the current ''2nd best'' best gear will be replaced around April by much better gear so you will stand on equal grounds with others soon enough if you start with the next update. There's currently a gearing path for Vets from 90 cap and one for new players, but they will converge by April thanks to the new gear coming, you will just not be able to Carry the Nest that will provide said gear unless you work real hard and real fast

You can still do the end-game Dragon in 4-man version. It is literally the same thing, except some attacks don't one-shot you and you don't need OP Damage to go through it.
Main : I'm back to Pyromancer LOL now, always open to help and all kind of stuff on DN, hit me up <3

I wouldn't say its too late, obviously you're gonna be behind and it'll take a lot more play time from you to catch up... but
Just join a good guild and level up to max (doesn't take too long and if you have a job irl, just get exp scroll to boost your exp % to reach max lvl faster)
Then do dailies everyday, make farming characters for extra gold, do treasure dungeons (or farm it), hero's battlefield etc.
Once you get decent enough gear, if your in a good guild, they'll be willing to take you for nests/RDN HC carries for some more gear.
Then slowly, build up your way to learning IDN from 4 man's with friends/guildies.

If anything.. there should be a DNP rebate event for new players/accounts if you're interested in that.
Get yourself an exp scroll, costumes, VIP pack (33k one) to start your dn career. I pray you get wings in those eggs.

It's far too late to get in to Dragon Nest. The days that it will be remembered by have already passed and what remains of it today is a barren reminder that it's still up and running. Essentially, the game has devolved into a over-casualized sandbox with some old, hidden potentials that will never be realized for what they should be. The future of the game only entails class unbalancing and bug creation, everything else can easily be summed up as filler more than ever before with the exception of raids, which happen once a year and yet are nerfed for casuals to clear them more casually. These are just bullet points of where the game stands these days.

At the same time, many on this forum will state otherwise. There are various charming aspects of the game that allure a niche audience. The game is not for everyone at its core, but with the many problems the game faces, you have to have a very strong reason to stick with the game when there are countless higher quality games out there to play that deliver healthy dosages of genuine content. Folks will say that the game is better than before, but who knows how long they have been playing when the game factually peaked years ago and has declined since, with its biggest decline happening just a year ago. Now, the Korean developers are doing everything in their power to satisfy every complaint; excluding bugs, this has proven to further degrade the game(and bugs have still been increasing on all servers).

Take this from a seasoned veteran who once played the game both casually at times and hardcore in others. Even my sister has allegedly quit this game despite her freakish obsession with the lame class she played. Many others have given up on the game's lack of integrity and fled the scene. All that's left are those who are able to settle for less and who would invite any company they can get. So in the end, listening to the people of the forum(which coincidentally make up a portion of the same ten people that do respond to threads like these)will only result in your own disappointment.
