I'm newbie. Can anyone suggest me a hero?

Hello everyone, I'm kinda really new in this game. And as a player. I'm more on adventure and helping others too, for example my league is for dungeons only, so i prefer playing on dungeons, and I'm really noob on playing PvP, but it will take time for me to be good at it also.

Can someone suggest me some heroes for PvE? I like melees, so if you suggest range heroes, I'll still accept it. But it would be honor if it is melee. I like actions and good effects.
