mercenary expeditions?

1. Would it useless to send 3 max level green mercenaries for expedition?

2. How does mercenary expedition help you make gold?

3. People say you need lots of micro managing. Don't you just send 3 mercenaries on a quest, and just let them do their own things with fail/success by luck and do it all over again after they return?

1. It would not be useless, just a low chance at success
2. It can give gold pouches, which are raw gold or give items that are worth putting in market
ex: extra garnets, theano armor, acc's, and crest
3. It is a lot of micro managing if you plan to do it on multiple toons. Other than that all you need to do is send out and hope for success, then repeat.

BTW, what is the best way to increase the chance of succeeding? Maybe getting higher grade mercenaries?

You do not need to be online, and the best way to increase your odds are higher rarity mercs. There are potions that will increase your % of success but they would be a pain to buy for every mission and would hinder any gold you would be making. For unique missions it is fine to get some, but up to you.
