And he doesn't see anything unethical about it. The thing is these people who complain about chill rooms aren't necessarily above being unethical when it is convenient to them.

Hello Tara, while i understand your frustration with this, I will try to explain how most of the server including myself views this issue known as "Chilling", and why you are met with players looking down on you or insulting you.

First of all, While chill rooms could be fun for some players, there is no escaping the fact that you are receiving rewards for doing nothing, of course other players will become upset if they had to work for their rewards, and other players did nothing to get the same, if not more rewards. This issue could easily be fixed by locking the room to remove the unfair rewards... if this whole Chill room was not about arena exp or medals, and it was instead to goof around or talk why could you not just have locked the room? This point was brought up before by another user.

Next, if someone is reporting something that goes against the terms of service of the game, how can that be seen as a bad thing? They are just trying to make it fair for the players who fought validly to get their rewards...

Furthermore, being asked to que up in ladder is not against the terms of service, while it may perhaps be unethical... the difference is it's not viewed as being against the terms of service.

I also find you could possibly be a confused and angered player, but arguing with other players will only lead to more arguments and hate, please try to understand everyone else's perspective ! And refrain from insulting other users of the forums, if a new player joined today... And saw this thread do you think they would be likely to stick to playing this game? My guess would be no, and that isn't even mentioning how mean it is to insult other users.

My guess would be she wanted to vent being frustrated, and she / he was probably thinking that other players would sympathize. I can't say this for sure since I don't personally know them.
I try to think that everyone is a kind person inside, except sometimes they don't show that kind personality... Everyone has a dark side.

It's hardly surprising when anyone's point gets lost arguing with the PVP community but i'm fairly sure the rest of us "twats" agree with her original point - Shadow is a cunt and honestly from what i can see some of you aren't that far behind.

Okay, let me explain whats happening here, in case anyone didn't honestly get it.

1. The past week or so I have been checking out pvp rooms( I had had a prolonged chat with a prominent pvp-er who shared a bunch of videos he had made with me) , joined a couple of orange rooms, spectated a few rooms, and finally joined a white room. My first experience of such a room. I found it was actually pleasanter than I thought it would be. New people, friendly.

2. A friend starts talking to me about why was I in a chill room. (the room was not called chill) . I said "what does that mean. and why is it not okay. There were battles. I was learning" He dismissed those battles, and the talk went on to reporting and account banning and inventory wiping blah blah blah. Then I remembered he had asked me to queue up in ladder the previous week to raise his points. And why was that not the same? And his response angered me. the same "its okay to do this, but its not okay to do what you did"

3. I go on forums to read about this. And I write a post.

4. Then some of the pvpers started commenting and making up stuff -- read their posts -- to justify their comments.

this is the gist. Why did i write a post? I fail to see the difference in the two. That it is okay to farm points their way.
And the whole scenario that i see in the forums, everyone treads carefully around these bullies. Why?

As far as farming rewards if i remember, what did i get out of it? 3 medals? maybe 7? How often do I go in a pvp room? Once in my whole DN life of a year. How often will I go in now? Maybe once a week or twice if I find friends to play with. So ppl are worried Im going to do what exactly?

And how does this justify their making up stories?

And name calling goes both ways. When someone is blatantly lying on forums to make one person look bad and to cover up their harassment of that person, is there a name for that? I believe its called internet bullying.

First, to answer your questions.
Imo there is no difference between the two situations you posed. Both are not allowed under TOS, and in that case, you are free to report Shadow as well (though in that case, as you were the farm mule, you would also be a part of the report).
Note that you probably will not be able to do so if he never actually got to farm you in ladder (text proof will most likely not be enough).

Next, the reason people look down on chill rooms are because there ARE chill roomers who have obtained more rewards than 3 or 7 medals, such as a high rank, for doing less work than what a 1v1er, etc. would.

Now for my own opinion.
No one treads carefully around these people. Frankly, I think they're a joke. I've never even heard of them until they made a thread in general discussion thread about reporting chill roomers, leading me to believe they're nobodies who are clinging to whatever power they can get. Additionally, their reports will probably do nothing.

If you want to do chill rooms, make a locked room. Or, you do you, and just ignore the 'bullies.' As stated before, the likelihood of you actually getting banned is so abysmal despite their reports anyway.
However, in the case that you do get banned, you cannot blame it on anyone but yourself. You now KNOW that it's not supposed to be allowed, and you are no longer learning, as you were before.

Hello Shadow! I understand that you were just trying to uphold the law, but instead of going public with this ( Even though Tara technically did first ) you probably should of just let it slide like you said to your friend, but the next time it occurred you could send it into Eyedentity Games and let them handle this to prevent all the drama and name calling!

It may seem frustrating to be called names and get yelled at for trying to enforce the rules but things like that unfortunately happens, but you can always do your best to try not to escalate things or stoop to their level by name calling or arguing as hard as it may be. Unfortunately everyone can't ever agree on something even if it is in the terms of service. Even though I may be crossing my boundaries by stepping into an argument by saying all this, please don't be mad at me I am just trying to reconcile everything within the community.

i tried to enforce a rule ED made since its unfair to us who work for our rewards i feel like its unfair to me
then i get called names and called a liar and she acts like she is the victim .....
my friend already confronted her on discord showing her a picture that we were actually in the room and she went off on him... she better be happy he doesnt want to post it here

Yes, it really is wrong and unfair for players to abuse chill rooms like this, it is against the terms of service back on EU as well.
And Alluring and Tara did start the name calling first, I would just ignore their provocation and be the better person... and Report them if you see them in a room next time. I am still wondering why Tara Posted this thread anyway, I made unanswered guesses to this earlier... but perhaps it would be best to just let this thread die?

While I know how you might want to help your friend / guildee ( If what Shadow said was true ) It is pretty harsh to attack other players who at first seemingly had good intentions even if he was blunt about it.

The bottom line is Chill rooms are illegal and I bet you can understand people getting mad at players breaking the law, and getting things for free!

Hello, i'm not sure if you've noticed but i have not made ANY comment regarding chill rooms. why? because it's impossible to defend her that way. Chill rooms are bad, but who are YOU to decide what is and what isnt? (i'm fairly sure this was her original point ) yes i'm her friend so i'll have to work with what i got. also, name calling is wrong but honestly look at the thread, 2 wrongs dont make a right but, eh sometimes you can't help it. But that's off topic.

I dont see where i've lied. Brutal honesty (or being blunt as you've put it) and being pretentious about something are really two different things. I'd say I didnt have much of a point to defend but he gave me one. If you're going to be right about something but a dick at the same time people are gonna call you out for being a dick. I'm sorry for using that word but i find it fits perfectly. "and the only reason i didn't report you is because your "friend" begged me not to ,we will be watching, i am not bullying them they are just another system abuser in my eyes "and finally deciding that posting her ign would be a good idea. why dont you post yours? just listen to yourself and read how you're saying things. you're like a gift that just keeps giving "i bet you really want her talisman huh" fairly petty to bring that up because you were the one bidding on it. i've read all your posts and you seem to have something against her ...
