Cannot equip Christmas Costume Rewards

The Costume Pet Rewards cannot be equipped, it says 'Cannot equip. That item is not for that ally.'
Also not sure if this was intentional, but we had to choose between head piece or body piece, we only get half the costume?

I'll check in about sending both pieces of the costumes. Try equipping the costume on a max level ally.

ok, so I can equip on lvl 60 ally. also is this even the right rewards? looks like bunny ears

Quick update, they're checking about the wrong costume soon. It appears that they intended that the reward would be one piece. I thought the event notice said pick two, but a second look says pick one.
