Sold items disappeared

Is there a time limit to collecting the gold from the marketplace once you sold something? My friend literally lost a 5-600 gold because the items just vanished. The item didn't expire either because he checked the listing and they weren't there. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

There shouldn't be an expiry time to retrieve the income.

and include relevant information like Ign, Item name, amount sold, time of incident etc.
