Pet Alicorns Not Working!

I've tried waking my pet with three alicorns, to no avail.
I tried the free one you get from leveling up.
I tried a normal one by selecting the alicorn first.
I tried a normal one by selecting the pet first.

In all three cases, the alicorn just disappeared and the pet remained sleeping.

Did you log off after the ally died? Just asking because that's an old glitch. The game still "reads" it as alive until you log off once.
