  • Checkfile download failed after reinstall and manual patches

    It is a tiring and frustrating issue that happens 3weeks ago since the auto patch was failed, i removed DN sea completely and reinstall it.
    I have downloaded the full client from Dragonnest sea website (v297) and all the manual patches to update it to latest version.
    After updated to v353, the launcher is showing patch complete and ready to play. After that, it is showing this error CheckFile download failed! (screenshot_1), after click OK showing 2nd error message PrecheckResource failed. (screenshot_2).
    After viewing the log in the log folder, is something in screenshot_3 or below, i tried to disable firewall and antivirus but it doesn't work.

    '19:27:24' Find mismatched file (\resource\char\player\assassin\parts\as\as_normal .ani)

    '19:27:27' CheckFile download fail! 0x00000001


    The full client were downloaded in zip file so if it was corrupted i will not able to unzip it logically. Every manual patch exe file showing successfully updated.
    Anyone have any idea to get rid of this issue?

    Hopefully can receive some advises.

    reinstall your DN client

    apply the manual patches up to DNUpdater_344to345, then use the auto patcher for the patch 345 to 346 (the manual patch file for this version is corrupt)

    then manual patch the rest up to the latest.

      Hi, thanks for your advise.
      When i followed your guide, updated up to v345 the auto patch was failed.
      Do you have any suggestion about this?

        use WinMD5 to check the hash value of the file DNUpdater_344to345 first if they're the same

        here's mine: 9161181476ef920addc0d1de66a8b515

        if its the same as mine then it's either you have a problem with your internet connection or there's something wrong with the autopatch server

        try to flush your DNS and reset your connection.


        also, did you remove the old files in your DN directory when you reinstalled?

          check also if there's an app running (like firewall, AV etc) that could be blocking your connection to the patch server.

            Hi,

            I have verified my DNUpdater_344to345 using WinMD5, code is same as yours.
            I flushed the DNS but still the same error.
            I did disable the firewall and Antivirus to try again but still the same failure.

            If it is connection issue, but i can online to check forum message.
            Frankly speaking, my Dragon nest was not able to uninstall as shown in the screenshot below. Before i install again, i did removed the whole dragon nest folder so the old files should be removed altogether.

              i'm not sure but maybe the autopatch server is blocking your IP? are you from SG/MY/PH?

              small chance that its an uninstaller issue but it would still help if you manage to fix that one to reduce the possible causes of your problem.

                AH! I got "lantern" actually but i did disabled it before.
                Now i disable and exit it and flush the dns, auto patch working now!
