East Coaster guy here I go from 120 ms NA to 240 ms SEA.
SEA is a bad call for me specifically and I would absolutely hate having to play with 2 seconds of input lag in PvP, and would result in the PvP scene being even more dead than it is now.
I want to vote no solely because of input lag in PvP, in NA it's consistent and I can actually land combos unlike with Nexon and SEA.

MechaMuffin Yes! That's how it is, Thank you for clarifying and adding to it, I knew it was either some kind of lament, coin, something you can buy them with. Yes it does beat the awful dragon eggs at the end of the month.

Just to add to the information regarding the jellies ^-^)7 :
If CDN's similar enough to TDN, I think you're talking about GM. X Tokens. You can get them at the end of the Attendence calendar. Basically, where DN NA has a Dragon Egg at the end of attendence, they have 5 tokens.
You can use the tokens to buy stuff like hats, mounts, and pets. But I usually spend 47 tokens for 250 jellies.
It beats Dragon Eggs' RNG. ;/

Tradable everything, list items on marketplace to sell for either DNP or Gold, etc, all hair dyes/lens's available in f11, much better gacha boxes and events.
For anyone wondering, they've always had better events than us, currently their event is 100% rebate on all DNP, so the first 5 items you buy in the F11 shop, you get 100% of the money back with DNP
A week ago they had an event where if you use magnifying glasses at the end of dungeons/nests, you can get a permanent Pegasus Mount, Clear Sky's Black Armor Wings, and other things.
When has NA ever had events in any way similar to that? It's been like that for years on SEA too
Oh and a few years ago in CDN you could buy Jellies from Pania if you had x amounts of something, I believe something similar to using laments, haven't checked recently if it's still the same.

They said this with the webcam while live streaming playing DN, I don't know if people still play that used to watch the livestreams, or if they know what exact stream video it is if it's still up, if you players are still out there you will also remember they also used to give out eggs/mounts on the live stream to lucky people
(the reason we asked about hair dyes/contacts is because at the time there was a lot of petitions going on begging Nexon to let us buy all of the hair dyes and all of the eye contact lens colors on F11 market because all the others servers have it except us and that it's unfair, I remember even SachiMizora ;D wanted it for a long time, but then gave up just like the rest of us, which many since then quit by the way.)
Excuse my messy paragraphs, I was editing it back and forth as I was remembering things around that time period lolLast edited by Shihomi; 04-28-2017, 08:52 PM.

well you asked me to share my point of view and reasoning and stuff. i voted yes merge us bc a lot of my friends already quit on dnna, and i have some friends in dnsea. im just lonely i guess, lol. a lot of what plagues us in dnna exists in all the dn servers, and i dont think ED will change the game for the better just because we realized it and are speaking up against it(i had hope that they would have listened to the complaints to try and make dnna grow a little but i dont have much hope anymore)
the multiple gold egg events instead of a response (hell, even a lil post about them reading our commentary and saying yes/no about em would be appreciated) kinda just signifies to me that they dont have any plans for us to get better.
tldr: im jaded and disappointed.

To those who have voted no especially, I would like to hear your point of views and reasonings as the ones who have voted no have not commented anything.
Thank you

Interesting. I'll need more than one source but if that's the truth then I'm majorly unopposed. Though, I would still like to give the current staff the benefit of the doubt and see where they take things. The upcoming arena reset, for instance, will be a big player for my views on the subject.
Though, it would be a shame to no longer be able to say "ya u no1 DNNA ez"
inb4 dnna looks like deoxyribonucleic acid

yeah I don't know about that, I know quite a few people that have actually never spent more than $20 in NA and have played since 16/24/32 cap and still play.
Pounding I would love you hear your own opinion even though I already know what you will say, if you haven't quit already :/Last edited by Shihomi; 04-28-2017, 12:17 PM.

Matchlight I understand your POV.
On the latency issue however, I've played SEA on and off for years, and I can assure you, it's far superior than NA even if it's not hosted anywhere near us.
Neither company hosts their own servers either, not cherry, not ED, the only ones that hosted their own servers in their own offices was Nexon, currently NA is hosted by CDNetworks.
(for example, when you connect to SEA there are 5 servers before selecting a channel), so a fix for that would be add a 6th server on the list before choosing a channel, and we connect to an NA location based server.
ED is too busy with KDN to handle us, and Cherry is too busy with SEA to even bother handling another server's tickets that isn't even of their own, we're an unwanted child.

Ah, no- I understand why you put them that way and I chuckled a bit when I read the options. I say opinionated because I can at least infer your own standpoint by the creation of the thread and the way the wit flows, but I really just want to say that, for at least the third option, things aren't so black and white to sum them up as going great.
I mean, I for one voted the third option (rippero anon) but really just for the "no" itself. Since you're actually open to varying points of view I'll go ahead and share my train of thought:
I want to mention beforehand that I only play dragon nest for the PvP. I guess you could say that I occasionally PvE, but it’s really just to the extent of trying to get gold for hair dye boxes, and so the main point is that I don’t have the same issues with the authoritative structure that a lot of the player base does. To put it simply, I’m unconcerned with stats and the majority of the controversy over ED’s profit-endeavors. In essence, my view takes a large chunk of the discontent of the player base and ignores it- so I just want to address that beforehand.
The reason I say no to a merge is for two reasons: one concern and one hope.
My concern has to do with the network connectivity. Our network already spans North America and quite a few outside areas, however, I know for a fact that I still get the occasional instability the further my signal has to travel. If you remember a few years ago back when Nexon was still our provider then you might remember how bad the lag got at times. I originally quit playing DN because I found it unplayable, and now that I’m back and want to continue, the idea of expanding the network reach and risking more instability frightens me- If I can’t play the game then why should I care about all the benefits I’m supposed to get?
My hope is pretty much just that- hope. I haven’t been with ED long enough to give them a firm passing judgement but I atleast see an effort made by the GMs and through that I see potential. I mean, the game is first and foremost a business and so there isn’t much (keep in mind I’m saying much, and not that there is nothing) that the branch can do against quotas and such, but the fact that I can see little instances of the authority trying to better the game makes me want to believe in them. The DNNA community is pretty cynical in general, and so as sappy as it sounds, when I see things like a GM trying to learn pvp or interacting with players in dungeons then, even if my trust is or isn’t betrayed in the future, then at least in the present do I want to give them the chance.
That’s just my take on things, though. ;p
