Beyond the Wall Grab Range?

I can't seem to figure out the range at which Beyond the Wall won't grab allies (and therefore won't give them a bubble). I realize that it's really small but does anyone have an idea of how small? If possible a visual or something like that of the grab range would be nice.

Just wanted to note that the new Beyond the Wall after Machina awakening has TINY range.
