    im not a great pvper or anything, want to try get better

    just wondering if you guys have any tips and stuff for when pvping as LK

    i've noticed a good trick if to use lure and instant HMS when initiating

    if slowed down by ice or just stuck somehow but you haven't been knocked down yet, smash has good SA and allows you to attack the enemy, then you might be able to turn things in your favor

    also, is line drive neededy? i find that its pretty predictable and easy to dodge

      I'd have to know your build to really tell you, but if you're full awakened just rely on the wind. That's all you have to do.

      Otherwise, general tips.

      Lure -> Instant HMS is situational and generally a poor choice. HMS is your main defensive option in poor neutral as it has absurd Super Armor and can be used to turn bad neutral into good neutral, forcing the enemy into a rolling animation. It can be also used to eat aerial evades, as it has an arcing hitbox that just fucks up tumbles since it hits twice, leading into another combo. Insta HMS gets rid of its main perk, Super Armor, and also reduces two hits to one hit that does less DMG. Unless you need to trigger a roll right away, I'd steer clear of it.

      Your use of Smash X is good, it has gud Super Armor and lets you be tanky AF. Kudos.

      Line Drive is an amazing move, but like Crescent Cleave it requires a setup. Try to force your opponents aerial evades onto cooldown, and once you realize that, Line Drive them. At level 11 it does some really respectable damage, and no one wants to get hit by it.

      While all these tips are good, they take in mind you are unawake'd. Awakened builds optimal is literally "any wind launcher -> damage move".
      The only awakened move you need is eclipse.

        tl;Dr, awakened is better if you just wanna win. Unawakened is better for improving your game play.

        Better is subjective.

        If you go in full awakened you will have optimal combo setups at the push of a button with low cds, and a move that eats AEs, SAS, and comittal attacks. For getting wins, awakened is better,

        People will call you cancer, trash, and other slurs for no skill, and they'd be right as awakened ml moves all set up into crescent cleave, a move so good it does 60k+ unbuffed.

        The only move imo MLS need awakened is eclipse due to ML having historically laughably poor neutral. Eclipse fixes that. The other awakes give him ridiculous ae catches off really short cool downs.
