Hey, this looks scarily familiar to the post we had done... Same place, same mount, the only exception is that we were running in the photo and that we had done it first. Just saying, seeing this post isn't the best feeling in the world because of the fact that you undercut us. It might not have been on purpose, but the photos were there. It's easy to infer that you guys had taken our idea and only changed one thing. And the fact that you're getting instant-likes on the post on something we had done first, not the best feeling and I'm sure you would be angry too. I would just like an answer, an honest one at that. This is not only coming from me but from a ton of other people. Thanks in advance~ ♥

Ha, hello~ I was one of the organizers for the picture, I'm the tinker MiuPanties. I'm sorry you're upset by our guild photo but I assure you we did not steal any ideas from your picture. We chose to go in front of the church because it was symmetrical and festive without it being the standard cutouts that are located around the garden of eternity that we believed most people would use as a backdrop for their screenshots. We then asked each other who had halloween mounts that we could use, since its much easier to get close together and still be seen in the screenshot when the mounts allow characters to be higher up without blocking the other characters that are not using a mount. Since this contest requires us to make individual threads instead of posting to one thread, I am 100% certain none of us have seen your photo. As for the likes, our group is rather big so we all made sure to give this thread a like, also our other guildmates have most likely supported this thread as well with their likes.

I'll be honest, I'm a bit shocked you would think that anyone would copy anyone for such a friendly community contest. There is only so much halloween content in this game, there are bound to be similarities. Sorry again for the confusion but hopefully it's sorted out now.

I'll be honest as well, not everyday you post a forum and see someone post a very similar thing. It was just confusion between us. Even if this was a friendly community contest, there are people out there who are overly competitive about this and start copying other people's ideas. It's happened before, I was sure it would happen again but just not to us. It was mainly the horse mount and the background that threw us off. Thank you for your reply, now that the confusion is cleared good luck to your guildies and friends.

I'm a bit hurt that you would accuse us of copying, ask us for a reply, then delete your comment. I'm all around confused by this behavior. Again, there is only so much Halloween content in this game, we were just trying to make the best of it! Your screenshot is good, and the phantom mount is awesome, if more people had it, I'm sure there would be even more screenshots with it. I'm sorry you feel that way, but to be honest I didn't look at any of the other posts in the first place. Looking now, we are not in fact in the same place. That its the same mount is a coincidence, a Halloween mount from a single year ago isn't an uncommon thing to see in a Halloween screenshot contest. I'm not really sure what else to say other than that, we didn't purposefully try to look like you, its just a coincidence.

I don't understand what you mean by "undercutting" you either, we aren't 'taking' anything that belongs to you. We are getting likes due to the support of our guildmates, and no other reason. If people like both of our screenshots, they can vote for both of them. I am taken aback a bit by your aggression about the matter, and your assumption that we somehow encroached on your ideas. I certainly would not be angry even if someone else took a nearly identical screenshot. This is a fun contest, and I'm not really sure what response you were hoping for, but that's all I have to say.

Does it seem like I'm aggresive in this matter? I try not to be, but that's not the point. The point is, this was a confusion. A simple question, the reason I deleted the post was because of personal reasons as well as other reasons I don't want to get into. I'd rather we not comment about the fact that I deleted it, it doesn't really matter. As i said, it was inferred. I had asked a question as to the situation of this because it seemed fishy, anyone would think this way. No matter who you are. Your first thoughts after one day of seeing something similar to what you've already done would always seem fishy. And I meant undercutting as in posting a similar photo in less than one day. I also doubt that you've never seen our photo by now if you're fast enough to reply to the comment I had written and deleted within 2 minutes. But then again, I'm inferring again. This so-called behaviour that I have is not new. Feeling a bit angry about something you inferred is not new. If i were to post a photo just like this one except I just moved some of the people into different situations, put the same mounts, wouldn't that seem...weird? It's a competition for a reason btw, there's bound to be competitive people. I could be offended by the fact that you think I'm being aggressive for posting a comment about something that was important, but that's not... important. I also know it wasn't the same place, I didn't mean to type that and I also meant to edit the post before I deleted it. It meant to say, "such a similar place." I also prefer we forget about the rest of this, these 'coincidences' just don't happen a lot. On a realistic point of view, things like these happen over competitive circumstances. imo, this is a fun contest. Note: contest, we all want to win. It's just facts. Thanks ~ ♥

Lol since you're so determined on defending your actions, I'll also remain determined on defending ours. The reason so many of us saw your comment was because you decided to post it right after I made a guild announcement in our guild discord linking this particular thread (which also explains why it was receiving "instant-likes" that you questioned in your original comment). The timing of you posting and us seeing it was chance, just like it was chance that we took a screenshot with the same mount. Since you seem to be an expert on human behavior with the way you like to infer what is normal and what's not, you should find it agreeable that our defensive response after being accused of odd malevolent behavior is justified. It's straight up bizarre to copy others in a contest asking for creative and original entries, but I think you realized your flawed logic in accusing us of something so silly a bit too late. Sorry we saw it but we did, and I think it's fair for us to be offended. I wouldn't be nearly as offended if your back peddling actually had some consideration behind it, but sadly you just seem concerned with seeming justified in your lapsed judgement rather than apologetic. This whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm not sure if you actually saw how silly you were being or your friends confronted you.. either way I wish it had been a bit sooner.

I'm defending my actions because you're all questioning them. It's simple behaviour that you don't seem to understand, I also think you don't understand the word 'infer or inferences." All this chance is unlikely, coincidences happen yes but not this much. No matter, I'm being accused of odd behaviour of what? For accusing someone of copying and facing up to the people so I know the real answer? All I've been doing is answering your questions that you've been asking. And all of a sudden now I'm being accused of just defending my actions and being judgemental when it's a normal thing. Please, understand that this isn't some fiction in real life. This type of stuff happens, it's real. You're thinking too much and not at a realistic point of view. Our screenshot was taken two hours before your forum post was created. You can see the timestamp in our original photo, thanks to Dragon Nest's updating that a screenshot was taken. You can literally see right there when our screenshot was taken, the date and time in military time.




It was given to another person for editing, which is why our post wasn't made until a day later.
