Hmm.. before taking commission, can anyone fill me in on how getting costumes work in this game? If something is in the cash shop, is that the only way to get them? For me right now I just like costumes since I'm still low level, so I wouldn't know what to use excess gold for.

Most costumes will be in the cash shop, and if it's in the cash shop that's usually the only way to get it. A new costume set is usually added each month or so and is usually then replaced the next month, though they sometimes remain indefinetly. There's a small amount of synthesized costumes that can be bought using gold off the market. You could potentially sell gold for ingame currency to someone ingame but that was bannable when Nexon hosted though I don't think anyone is too sure on where gold selling/buying stands now. I guess you could maybe direct people to your tumblr/da/etc and get them to PayPal you money which you use to fund costumes too.
