Seems a lot of hate for this game company

I have been enjoying the game okay, but it seems there is a big underbelly to the game where the company running the game is very bad and players are very angry for a long long time. I noticed a lot of ninja class around the mail boxes so I assume that is the bots people are referring to. Is this game bad to play now? I also read the story line becomes generic as you go along and gear gets crazy. Plus them Aisha Eggs are very expensive, you cannot get all the Aisha gear out of them with out lots and lots of money. Also, someone mention a corrupt guild on the server. I should avoid them. Hoping this game is good because it reminds me of Black Desert but I like the classes more.

The story line peaks at the lvl 80 arc so I'd suggest to continue, I personally have completed the main quest twice.

Otherwise this game was gutted when most of it's content removed in 90 cap and they only returned some of it recently. Its been over 2 years since then and the game still lacks half the features that it used to have in 80 cap and the past.

If you do Pkn and tkn nests at 93, they might be fun, but watch a video of the 60 cap versions and you'll see what I mean. 60 cap versions had more achievements, more mechanics

Not to mention the cash shop power boosts became more and more ridiculous. And yes, f2p mmo have to be p2w to survive, but in the past, if you wanted to raid you could buy a $10 pro pack, and if you were good you could run in epic gear. Some would spends thousands on eggs just for fun and maybe a 5% damage gain. But the p2w got to the point where cash makes you do twice as much damage and become a necessity even for the average raider. Thus many people who have the aptitude to raid but perhaps not the money, quit. And even those who have spent money, the game keeps saying, "spend more" and at some point, are they paying money because they like the game? no, only pay to stay relevant. But that's lame so they quit too.

The cost of pve in this game is too high, and the content is worse quality than the past, but as long as you don't care about raids you can probably enjoy it

Well, ED (Eyedentity) is uniformly hated across servers, no matter where you go there's always going to be some sort of hatred towards this game and all thing they did recently, honestly it's not a rare sight to see hatred comments and threats towards devs on Korean server.

Nexon had a lot of events that were geared towards f2p, the GMs and admins were actively involved with the community, including pvp, etc. and they responded to complaints/suggestions/ issues quite promptly. That they got content and patches pretty late from ED was not their fault. They did their best to make the game fun for everyone, while trying to make profit. The only reason I stuck with the game was the events Nexon had. Besides the events Nexon had, they also held events which were planned by the community. people proposed, everyone voted and one big event was chosen every two months. Every patch they did a live stream with their employees showing how excited they were about the changes. They marketed the game well. The cash shop sales were what they were.
The game was never as crap as it is now. The creativity and the design of the game was worked out by the original developers. The current management is just milking the loyalty of the base that original game drew and encouraged.

OP: The game is heavily p2w, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It's also run by a small community who can't handle criticism and who shut everyone else who would like to think differently up. If you look at a subscription game, with set costs, and you play at your pace with your group of friends, it's much much cheaper than DN. And the grind to gear is too heavy considering how much one spends. Why do people play still? Because no other game has this kind of combat and feel to it. Like I said the original developers were genius. People hate the company because there is so much potential to this game, and it could be absolutely inviting to a much larger audience if only ED had the vision for it. Instead they are milking the goose for all its worth with zero vision, logic or intelligence.

Here's a quick history lesson you ignorant child:

ED developed DN, DN went live in 24 cap to most of the world, ED hired publishers for their servers, the game grew exponentially over the years, 80 cap came and Shanda a Chinese company bought out ED, the new ED fired and/or relocated the original dev team of DN in late 80 cap, the game suffered and MANY PLAYERS QUIT, 90 cap came out... gutting the game and new cash gears made available introducing the power creep, more PLAYERS QUIT, 93 cap to 95 cap - servers are overrun with bots which happens to coincide with ED taking over NA then SEA afterwards getting rid of the publishers thus further reducing the games appeal more PLAYERS QUITTING...

GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEAD, NEXON NEVER OWNED DN, NEXON DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO GROW AND MAKE DN PROFITABLE, ED GOT RID OF BOTH NEXON/CHERRY CREDITS TO MAKE MORE MONEY SINCE THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY THEM ANYMORE, ED HAS RUINED DN, ED ARE THE ONES TO BLAME FOR THE CURRENT STATUS OF DN, ED CONTROLLED EVERYTHING, ALL DECISIONS MADE HAVE BEEN THEIRS AND THEIRS ALONE.

DNest was developed by ED which was acquired by Shanda games. Nexon bought only the license to publish it in America which the developers decided not to renew, and have it managed in house/by another subsidiary company. But while Nexon had the rights to it in NA, the developers gave them a really really hard time in terms of release patches/updates/ fixing bugs. They currently have a crap management running it.

May I ask which guild? I'm currently in Aurora (dead guild which I'm now the leader of ) & MyLittleDN and have been thinking about putting some alts in other guilds to see how they differ. If you choose to reply do so via PM, because reasons~
