problems launching game

hey guys i have a problem my game wont launch no matter what i try it gets to the eyedentity games logo then crashes

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

i have tried several reinstalls both in steam and through regular download it worked fine before my comp updated about 2-3 days ago with a windows update but as far as ive gotten is is that the game crashes at the eyedentity games part in the intro

If it stopped working after the latest Windows update, this thread might help. But I think it's for a different issue.
