  • Poll: How is Eyedentity doing so far?

    Dragon Nest NA has been re-launched for about 2 weeks now. How do you feel Eyedentity is doing in terms of upkeep, communication, etc? Are you confident in the path that DN NA is going, or are you worried? Discuss below!

    I will leave the options very broad, and we can discuss in here. This is an honest thread/poll, so please go ahead and state your opinions openly. (One choice for this poll.)

    • Waiting until the 28th's big update to (hopefully) fix the major bugs we have right now instead of releasing hotfixes is not okay
    • Having the same bullshit EyeCash/EyeTotal system that Nexon had
    • Translation issues
    • The email provider thing
    • Lack of communication/interaction on the forums
    • 1:1 inquiry is slow and generally unhelpful like Nexon

      I can't really say they are doing poorly, but I'm not sure whether they are doing "okay" either. It would be nice if they communicated with use, let us know what's happening and their intentions. Or at least tell us why they can't tell us... In anycase, for me, I think communication is the biggest issue here. It feels like they are just waiting until Dragon Nest dies.

        • Content is all over the place. We have things like IDN HC while norm still requires passes (not sure if this is normal, judging by how RDN works, when HC was released passes for norm were no longer required. By the time IDN HC was released, we should have the ability to craft U grade 90 technique accessories
        • Lazy translation on their part
        • Broken voices for some classes (not sure if all classes)
        • Requirements on how to complete events are unclear or have multiple ways to interpret.
        • Low amounts of communication on forums (late replies for issues for the most part)
        • There seems to be no online moderators/GMs at all

        I am glad that they made the website look more modern. Nexon's site for Dragon Nest still looked like something from 2010, they basically never bothered updating it besides the background.

          The broken voices have been there since Nexon days because they didn't fully translate the game. If you mean the silent NPCs in Rhadames, that's intended.

          I’d rather wait till after our Oct. update before we actually gauge Eyedentity. I feel that two weeks (10 days if we exclude the weekend) isn’t much time to properly evaluate them.

          But if I had to choose, I’d say they’re doing Okay.

            If Eyedentity had more of an active forum presence and ingame presence (has anyone even seen a GM since the transfer) it'd show that they are at least trying to communicate. Something as simple as a community manager/representative would be excellent for passing the language barrier as they could relay issues, bugs, and other important news to the dev team much faster. This would get replies out just as quickly and greatly aide in communication from the developers and the players.

              ED just needs to hire CC GMs and forum moderators. They already said they were incompetent in this aspect hence the presence of CC in the first place.

                i wish the support system was handled differently or not through cherrycredits. i submitted two tickets of which i cannot check the status on, and received one reply back a week and a half later saying i had a message on cherrycredits's website even though i dont have an account there :/

                  Bugs have always been fixed with the game update. It was the same with Nexon. That's why I suggested weekly bug fixes to be distributed with the server upkeep that happens every week

                    Well ED was the group handling DN even under Nexon... Difference will only be (IMO) : Events, easier to send feedback and get listened to, CashShop, marketting. Bugfixes and such.... It's way too early to judge, as they are probably adjusting events, servers and getting email providers to whitelist them. It's fine imo (cool starting events), but need forum presence through community manager and moderators.

                    As long as they do good events (First update is great so far for that !), do actual marketting of the game and manage the community, it will be fine. Games is already 10x more active even post-update then it has been with nexon since the end of 80 cap...

                      Wish we got updates earlier in the month but I guess that was part of Nexon's last fuck you to us.

                      I want more cash shop stuff and the ability to buy and sell wings like other servers

                      Fix bugs, fix this random resetting shit.

                        Pretty good but bugs galore. They arn't seeming to be rushing to fix the major ones like gm towers etc. Hopefully the end of the month update will address these.

                          They are doing great! Everything is fine.

                          The new content is good and what a great idea to delete the guilds too. It has given many players new purpose and a fresh start.

                          It is a shame about the low population on the server but I am glad they have not shut it down. Maybe the developers could do more to show the players they are loved. More communication about events and bugs would be nice but I think what players really need is the creator nest. I think that nest would fit really well right about now.
