I tried enhancing my theano gaunt from 6 to 7 and it broke. but the yellow message on top when enhancing shows that it starts failing from 7 and onwards?

After enhancing to a +6, your gear will have a chance at breaking if you fail (which is why jellies are mandatory). Once you reach +7, your gear will also have a chance to degrade as well as breaking (if you're not using jellies). -
Yeah, the weapon has a chance of breaking once you try to enhance to +7 and above. When in doubt, I always check the text next to the jellies at the bottom.
Once your gear has a chance of breaking, the text changes from "Not necessary for this rank." to "Item Protection Jelly is not being used." Helps me make sure.Comment
