does anyone else prefer how gearing was in earlier caps?

there's just too much stuff to update now when it comes to getting your character to an above average level. plus the cash items were more subdued, but now you get insane boosts from them so you'd have to be crazy not to get them in some way.

just feels like if you're not treating this game like a second job you'll fall behind fast because they keep adding new things for gears. early on you just needed epics with good enhancement levels and good potentials then you could pretty much coast for the rest of the cap. now there's just too much shit. it's a clusterfuck of equipment standards

Before the first raid that came out in 40 cap standard build was nest set that were +8.

I remember back then, people with +10 apoc/manti combo were considered hardcore.

you can't really compare anything before SDN came out because lgrades and ugrades didn't exist yet

instead of farming mats to craft gear you farm mats to enhance

You seem to be complaining about more content though. More ways to gear makes you have to play the game rather than coast to the end of the cap with just enhanced items.

Was watching a documentary once with my cat, Whiskers. Documentary was about gears. Got the guacolome on the table and a bag of chips between my legs. Munchin down I hear a quote I will never forget. " i saw sonic the hedgehog in bed with shrek the ogre." I thought all day about the quote and I went to bed on my trampoline.

Morale of the story- always eat chips while watching documentaries.
