2 things that i found interesting in this thread.


1) if the toxicity in pvp is the main thing that stopped you from playing it before you are not only a sissy you are probably trash at the game

2) most 13 year olds have seen or heard much worse while attending a public school than anything theyd read here. i understand people want to protect their children but its 2016, theyve been f'ed up for awhile now.

I agree with both of the statements. It does say in TOS though that it won't be tolerated. That was the only point I was trying to make. It wasn't totally about protecting children, it was about having respect for others.

that part of the tos could be abused too if you think about it. many times when people who have been friends for a long time will flame so hard in pvp that people who dont know them will wonder if theyre serious.

that being said any1 who actually is an active part of the pvp community knows of salty kids who would love to see things like that while spectating and get some1 they cant beat banned.

im all for a fun and productive community but most of the players that i know are well over 13, im personally in my 30's, and i find it annoying to have to constantly tip-toe around somebodies hyper sensitive virgin ears.

I think it just comes down to how much one can take verbally. Some of the salty ones are extremely horrid in what they say. For a person who's not used to that it can be a bit much. PVP is life though so no matter amount of salt piles up in there, you shall see Doc...probably flying in the air because of the DA or archer moves >.< LOL

Unfortunately not everyone can think that way. There are people who have anxiety problems that play Dragon Nest, and yes, are really skilled at playing PvP, but refuse to play now because of the harassment of very select players. Mind you, I am not referring to just trash talk. I am referring to the type of comments that make people question their faith in themselves, and destroys their self esteem. We get it, you don't care, but that mean doesn't they don't. People shouldn't have to be put through cyber bullying just so they can enjoy a game. I agree that PvP can't be taken seriously if people want to have fun, but not everyone's mind works like yours do. That does not mean that they are any less skilled at the game than any other player.

It takes a long time for someone to be able to emotionally deal with PVP sometimes. People are different though. Even though sometimes we probably get the urge to smack whoever we are fighting, we have to remember it's just a game. This is why I tell others to take PVP time outs. LOL Without that break once in a while it can destroy who you are if you lack confidence in yourself. No worries though. For every troll there are at least 100 people who are not like that. <3 Doc's always got your back Unless I'm in respawn.... then I'm probably reviving somewhere. LOL
