@Dean50/Visage - why is commenting disallowed on Announcements/Contests & Events?

Maybe it's just me but doesn't this seem a bit backwards? It does not enable players express themselves (provide feedback/general commenting), and makes each of those updates/events seem unimportant/unpopular as a result.

Or maybe I'm the naive one comparing this forum with the Path of Exile forums.

To prevent complaints.

People complain about every event. I would block it as well to avoid the headache. Community is never happy with anything anyways.
