  • Reporting Chill Roomers Official Thread

We all know that players abuse the system creating rooms known as "Chill rooms" I would like to bring this to your attention

This thread will be where I, my fellow friends and countless others of my guild will band together and report players Illegally obtaining EXP through the use of going AFK in "Chill Rooms" To Farm rewards by doing nothing, players generally in this room talk and DO NOT KILL EACH OTHER at all.

This is of course against the terms of service, ( http://us.dragonnest.com/policy/operation-policy )

and expect this thread to be filled to the brink with reports as soon as the Arena EXP is reset in June.
We do not want another slash, We want the person who got to become the top ranked PVPER to have gotten there fair and justly. I Just ask that you go through with the terms of service and keep PVP as fair as you possibly can, which is funny since we have broken classes running around such as Adepts, killing people and thinking they are good or skillful. A Little side note, as this gets increasingly popular, players may turn spectator mode off so that they can not be reported, I would like to request if possible that a Game Moderator forces them-self into rooms randomly while invisible, as I have seen GM's over on Nexon do, and check to see if players are abusing and going AFK in rooms.

Thank you very much for your time in reading this thread.

      Lol I remember Slash.

These kids doing this right now just talk clueless shit all day long and get pretty argumentative about it when you state facts and prove them wrong, such as them claiming completely false facts about classes and patches, really stupid little things and then kick you the first split second after game ends, when you've done nothing wrong but inform them. This is really why I've always said the PvP community is cancer.

That's all they do is talk and AFK, they don't play, it goes against the way the game is intended to be played in the Terms of Service Dean50

Oh and they think they're good players LOL.

Oh common sense, where art thou?!

ED doesn't enforce their rules. They just let it happened. And if they do something about it, that would be great.

If the reports do nothing, then players would think it is safe to do other things such as buying gold which would in turn make ED lose money though.... Please say if people will be allowed to abuse this? @Dean50

One of my friends also claims he got banned for a day so
          ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Since they are doing this, maybe they'll make the [GM] that have been appearing in town also track and maintain this.

You make it sound like the GMs even enforce their rules. People bot, sell gold, buy gold, trade EC, get carried in content, afk in ladder, share accounts, and many other things that violate the ToS on a daily basis.

              Your hopes are too high

Unfortunately the definitions are pretty broad as the ToS don't define what it means to "contribute" nor does it define "unorthodox", at least in the excerpt you have highlighted. Without those terms being defined, it becomes a hard rule to rightfully enforce. I would first recommend clarification on the terms before trying to enforce them. Also, the GMs will need to clearly clarify what the "nature" of PvP is. 1v1 can also be considered unorthodox because many 1v1 rooms are 2v2. It is exploiting the late entry tickbox so you only have to fight one person instead of 2. Lots of grey areas when it comes to ToS.

Although, I do commend bringing up this issue. I personally don't think it is much of an issue at the moment, but providing clarification before the issue does get out of hand is a good start.

dont think devs care bout this

if they enforced the TOS rules that heavily 90% of the server would be gone lol
