Here's another video that shows something that happens due to lag and also a bump to the thread.
Thanks to Kiyy for recording and editing this video!

As Kiyy states in the description, the last hit of Barrage should break many of the skills used by the other players. However, when the other players use a skill at the same time the last hit of Barrage hits them, they use their skills without being interrupted or cancelled. It does require accurate timing, but it can be pulled off pretty frequently.
Note: This works with any single-hit skill, not just Barrage.

Just to clearly point out some that are more clear than others:
0:13 - LK uses Rising Slash, LB uses Illusory Chakra
0:38 - LK uses Impact Punch, LB uses Fan of Blades
0:59 - LK uses Luring Slice, LB uses Dirty Trick
1:43 - LK uses Triple Slash, LK uses Rising Slash
1:51 - LK uses Impact Punch, LB uses Gore Kick (no animation shown, but he's still standing)
1:57 - LK uses Side Kick, LB uses a normal attack (left click)
1:59 - LK JUMPS IT, LB uses a normal attack (left click)
2:10 - SD uses Swivel Charge, Crus uses Paralyze Bolt
    etc etc.

This issue seems to be caused by the same issue of lag. Similar to "lag-casts" these air-casts happen when the input for a skill is given at what should be a time deemed too late.
Other lag things we found were:
Aerial Evade failing right before or as the player touches the ground in a Lunar Knight's Cyclone (making you unable to Tumble away afterwards).
Decoy failing during the very beginning of Dancer's Whirling Dervishes (after the first 2 hits w/ the weapon, as the Dervishes come out).
Tumble failing when a Blade Dancer's Gust Dementia is cancelled with Tumble as soon as possible after Gust Dementia is used.

Also, I'd like to give a big thanks to everyone who's sent in a ticket so far! The next best thing to do is to get one or a couple of your friends to also send in a ticket now or at least show them this thread. Let's continue to get this issue noticed and fixed!

I come to these forums every few months to see how NA's doing (I moved to SEA at the announcement of service transfer), and reply to things on occasion.

I would like to inform you guys that this lag also occurs on SEA, JDN, KDN, and CDN servers. It's also been around for a quite a few years, and gets worse the further the two players are from each other (globally).

You have to remember that dragon nest is the FASTEST action mmorpg, with many elements and transitions of mechanics lasting only 1/8th of a second. This means that information from both users has to travel from their computers, to host server, and back to their own and their opponent's computer in less than 1/8th of a second (making decoy go on CD when it wasn't actually executed fully).

A solution can't come from Dragon Nest Devs alone - it will have to come from players too (get better internet(350+ mbs) and better computer).

For all the other garbage that needs fixing (ie. bots, translations, unintended interactions, gold sellers, etc.), I think tickets can be a BIG help. SEA regularly punishes people for 'bad behaviour', as long as they have the evidence they need, and the tickets are actually being sent. Anyone remember the influx of SEA hackers a few years ago fuqqing up pvp? Yea, they weren't on SEA for long.....so they came to NA.....lol.

***EDIT*** If only one player complains about something, why would the devs ever think it's an issue? If 80% of the population complains, why wouldn't they try to fix it?

(unless ur a GM from nexon NA and have a small peni- er, brain)

If its an issue that's been around for years and its so painfully known and the devs knowingly put their head up their rears and ignore it like an astoundingly confused ostrich it goes without saying many people, including myself, were/are hesitant to put in a ticket. It just comes off as a waste of time.

IIRC, it wasn't this bad before, but some sort of change to help make the game run easier (A lot of things went from client side, such as wake up attacks, went to server side I think?) screwed a vast majority of things, and though complaints existed the devs didn't care. Don't quote me on this I'm not sure where I heard this, but it just sounds correct kek. I think I got this from some talk about Dargunz or something idk I'm bad with names.

Anyway, getting a better internet and better computer won't help, either. With upwards of 300 mbs and a GTX 970 with like, 30 something gigs of ram in my personal case, I still lag like I'm running this game with a mac from 1999 in certain areas, the game is just simply the apex of poor optimization. I'm aware the lag is apparent everywhere, and it goes without saying that it should be noticeably worse the further away from each other you are, but I've played in the same room as other people and the game has still found ways to lag so abhorrently it's absolutely unforgivable.

A solution definitely will not come from the devs alone, but the least they could do is take the first few god damn steps, or at least make it playable and presntable. They're the devs, it's their job basically to develop and evolve this game. I showed up post-transfer eager as fuck and while the lag is noticeably better compared to Nexon IMO, they haven't really compounded onto that further at all in any sense of the word. They fixed ghosting a little, and by that I mean they got like a slightly better server than Nexon, which is like saying instead of nothing we brought a plastic bag. But on the other side they still struggle with air casts, skills just completely going onto cooldown for no reason, recoveries being essentially RNG, those random warp hits where you hit someone and they just get banished straight to the shadow realm, etc etc.

Idk, I just figured leaving Nexon and going straight under ED would mean an actual line of communication with ED, but I feel almost as ignored as back when we were with Nexon tbh.
