Was account/server storage erased during transfer?

I'm hearing from a friend that his account storage got wiped. Did other people get same issue? Was this documented in the server transfer FAQs?

It was highly suggested to empty out server storage / nx server storage before transfer.

I didn't empty regular and account storage completely. Checked and the junks are still there lmao.
