  • What Has Changed?

I used to play Dragon Nest on Nexon's servers, and am curious about whether or not the things that made me quit have been fixed.

    What made me quit:
1)Horrid amount of side quests that were required to stay with the level requirements of main quests that wasted minutes between dungeon runs just trying to run around and see which quests stacked
2)Leveling and grind needed to be able to play one character decently with friends/guild that made me feel
a)Like I had to force myself through work just to be able to play some group minigame
    and
b)Like I could only have one character that I could actually play well, because I hate investing so much time into grinding just so I can use a new skillset.

Should I play Dragon Nest now, or have these problems not been addressed?

    1. Side quests aren't necessary anymore, just there if you want extra story or farming the lustres.

    2. Grinding is heavily alleviated. You could get to max level, no boosts, in maybe 16 hours for your first. If you use the jump (chronicle) character, maybe 3 hours. With the right boosts, you can get from 1-93 in ~3.5 hours.

    3. Some minigames still suck.

    4. That's fine, I only play 2 characters max (Saint (support) and Raven (for dps, cause Saint dps makes me weep)).

Should you play now? eh, the grind still exists because all MMORPG's have grind. But it's not as bad as before. HOWEVER, getting gold in this game is a nightmare.

Getting characters up to 93 (max level) these days is fairly easy (unless you're a cleric), especially with the introduction of the chronicle system. As DrTed said above me, the only thing you'll be hard pressed grinding for is money.
