Elemental conversion help

Hi, so I'm a gladiator that has no experience with elemental conversion, but I felt it was about time for me to start doing nests like DDN, TKN and raids as well and it seemed like elemental conversion is a must for extra damage in them.

I understand that ice conversion is probably more effective than the other elements in RDN, but I feel that the ice conversion may not be as effective as other elements in other nests/raids and it wouldn't be ideal to rely solely on ice damage(correct me if I'm wrong).

So basically I'd like to know which element is favorable/effective in most situations, and which element is preferable for IDN.

I'm gonna have to be corrected as well here since I'm not up to speed on ele debuffs & stacking nerfs.

But from what I know:

• Light & Dark are the most common because they are 'apparently' debuffed the most (I can't say from which classes; stopped following each classes skills a while ago)
  There is also a tech ring that only has light/dark.
• Ice is the best for RDN due to low resist. Also the cheapest in terms of L grade gems.
• Fire is advantageous in IDN as the first boss has very little or no fire resist - iirc the rest of the raid is equal %ele resist?

I think in general any element is okay espc. since tech rings w/ crit have all% ele.

various bosses will have different element resistance values, but for idn, there is no clear cut best element. the first boss has 20% ice/dark resist, the second 20% fire/light resist, and the dragon itself has 30% resist to all four elements.

you are right in thinking that ice damage would not be the most ideal for all content, but seeing as there are so many different element resists spread across bosses, it is fine to use ice damage.
the most ideal method would to be investing in two elements for idn, however that is expensive/time consuming. also, dont worry about boss element resists for content aside from raids. nests are not so demanding as to warrant optimizing dps.

the answer to your element dilemma is: whichever element % is cheapest/easiest for you to maximize(through titles, gems, costume+accessories, tech accessories, etc). if other raids come out with heavily skewed element weaknesses, it will be worth investing in that element, but as of now, there is no best element.

to expand on my amigo wangos's points: techs can provide light/dark(rings), fire/ice(earring) or all element %(rings). depending on your luck you can go for those, or buy them.
i do not believe there are any classes that can debuff specific elements anymore, but all 4, and there isnt anymore stacking!!! only a 20% element debuff maximum QAQ... which makes me sad bc no more element parties.
