Dark Avenger falls under Warrior Class, right? Is it possible to change my ML's Class to Dark Avenger? since they're both warriors to begin with.

You cannot switch to or from a spin off class, which is one of the main disadvantage they have, one day if ED nerf spin off, the only thing you can do is sit there and cry until they decided to buff it back 2 years later.
