Missing Minion EXP

It's said in the tooltip that minion EXP could be gained upon dungeon clearance.
I did several DQ runs lately and realized my minion got no EXP at all.
So, is this one bugged or I have to clear certain different dungeon and/or floor?

clearing stuff gets you community points. you can buy the 7,000,000 exp pots with that

Change few patches ago, minions no longer gain experience thru dungeon experience, need to buy boom boom potion at community points shop. I'm also at dilemma since my casper is stuck at lv 46. community points hard to gain after recent patch
