Forum imposters - Using someones ingame name on the forums

This appears to be extremely problematic, people have been creating ridiculous threads under these names. I get it's a joke but I don't know if those people appreciate their names being stolen and used on the forums.

Here is a potential fix:
• Once we are able to play on the eyedentidy servers, give us the ability to link our characters to the forums. This way everyone can tell if the user is the real owner or not.

Just food for thought, feel free to post more ideas below.

Also, perhaps an email verification system for the forums. Would make it harder for people to go through and take the time to make a new email, etc. I don't know.

I don't know how emails with the forums and the website is going to work. Like for example I used the same email for my dragonnest account and my forum account, will they automatically link? or...
I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I concur with the idea of being able to display your character to the forum. It's been a practice in other game forums too so I'm sure it won't be too complicated to do... Although we are talking about VBulletin here lol.
