            That may be granting too much freedom, especially given the fact that people can soft delete posts. Posterity is important to consider, and there is also self-censorship to be mindful of. Something like this can only cause chaos if not moderated correctly.

            That said, I'm sure if you PM an admin or mod, they can handle a thread, with reason. Be it redundancy or a de-railed thread.

              How could deleting a thread be granting too much freedom? How would it cause chaos? Facebook groups seems to be doing fine with the option to delete their posts. lol

                Person causes Drama with Topic on forums, When confronted, deletes topic to hide evidence, Starts drama again with another topic, rinse repeat.

                        It looks like this was just now implemented. Although it's a soft delete so i haven't tested it yet
