Fishing for mats

Rather than just having cooking mats, how about fishing for mats like : Life-giving essence, Altheums, Diamonds etc.
Could be exploited in a sense.. but I feel like fishing shouldn't be as useless as it is. Maybe after reaching Average fishing you can find altheums, then diamonds next etc.

in the past, one of the summer fishing events had a small chance of fishing up a pouch with a rare crafting material. this idea isnt that far fetched

That's a good idea would love to catch crafting mats in those old pouches you get sometimes or something.

I like this idea, but it'd be cool to see this in say, the guild base. Having their own fishing spots where there's the normal fish as usual, then chances of reeling up items in a loot pool.

Fishing at the same time gettin' lots of exp and gold, also items, equips,gear.
Our game is dry and stale using the usual gameplay to level up!
