Empty Account

So i have seen this happen to two of my friends now, and this is weird and is bugging me. So Friends A and B both run DN through Steam, and carried over from Nexon. They had an issue with steam using resources and their computers not being great, so they uninstalled and went through the website. upon logging in USING THE SAME EMAIL AND PASSWORD ETC through eyedentity, they logged into an empty unused account. one of them actually found out by charging ec through EYE (because steam is glitchy) and finding the EC on the empty account instead of their actual account. is there a fix for this?
