  • Patcher stuck on "Checking..."

    I only started having this problem today, and was playing about a week ago without any issues. When I open the patcher (I play on Steam) the patcher will open without a problem, but the progress will be stuck on "Checking..." and won't progress. I've tried reinstalling and that didn't help. This is my log file whenever I launch it:

    Bump. Same problem but reinstalling fixes it until I log off. Dont want to be installing 15GB everytime I want to play >

      I'm having this exact problem too. Did a full reinstall yesterday and it worked while I was playing. Tried again today, and it's stuck on "Checking" again. It might be worth noting I'm playing through the Steam client

        Downloaded both Steam and DN's standalone. Both same problem

          Well, I've never seen this issue before.. Looking at my own logs (using the Steam version), one difference that sticks out to me is the product version. Yours is 1.0.0.1, while mine is 1.0.0.2. So, maybe it has something to do with that? Tbh I'm not sure why PatchInfoServer.cfg download is failing..

          Either way, if you guys haven't already tried, try using this launcher that Vahr made once your launcher stops working and the game is fully up to date. Hope it helps: https://static.divinitor.com/dn/athe...unch-1.2.0.zip
          "This version only works for North America. Installation: Extract the contents of the ZIP file into your game directory. Usage: Double click dv-athena-quicklaunch.exe. You may need to accept the UAC prompt (if enabled) or tell Windows Safescreen that its okay to launch (hit the More Info link to show the Allow button). Game should launch. The launcher must run as administrator on Windows 10 because the game client can only be launched from an admin context."

          Also, here's some troubleshooting stuff you guys could look at that I found from old CherryCredits tech support with DN.

          Summ I believe nigpoi got his working by using the athena launcher on the regular client (not the Steam one). So, hopefully that can work for you too.

            I just tried downloading this, and extracted it to both the first folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dragonnest) as well as the second folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dragonnest/DragonNest) and in both cases it says "This program must be run in the Dragon Nest directory. Please install DV Athena Quicklaunch into your Dragon Nest game directory." Any idea on what to do here? I plan on looking up the original post to see if there's a fix for this, will edit if so.

              I use Vahr's laucnher and it currently works. But I'd prefer Steam to start working again :T
