Portal Disconnection

Dear Devs,

Please do your job and save whatever player base you have left... Don't make us give up on DN because of some long-lasting problem.

P.S: I've been using the same ISP for the past few months, works fine until yesterday update when this happened. So please don't tell me to change ISP yet again, because that's only a temporary solution; we need a fix.

Restarting your router a couple of times usually fixes this problem. At least for me. Try to give it a shot. Unplug for 10 seconds before plugging it back in.

Again, it's only a temporary solution (and it may or may not work).

We need permanent fix for this.

+1 since DN SEA tech team, or whatever they have is USELESS. That's the proper term for them. They dont even check the forums anymore with regarding to Tech Issues or any other issue for that matter. even their 1:1 Inquiry? Busted.

Currently experiencing too many portal disconnection in colosseum even with vpn.

ping is very good at wifi. the only problem is portal disconnect. does the server work like instance areas = mini servers?

To answer your question,

Every town channel is hosted by a server. But for instanced fields (town->staging area&dungeon/nest; lobby->pvp map) you and your buddies will be hosted by some random instance server that will host your activities.

Some DN IPs I retrieved in the past for reference.

*used a program from Microsoft system internals suite, "TCPview", to check for the IPs. These are legit tools from Microsoft, ok ED :3.

*There are different IPs, but It's not in my knowledge if these are all physical servers or just virtualized servers or a mix. It could be any of those. Only 'they' know.

When this issue cropped out 6 months ago, I was fortunate that I was not affected. For 6 months, it left me alone. Now, it found its way to my doorsteps. In every freaking night sessions, this thing haunts me.

its not fault of dev, i dont meet this " portal disconnection " when i play in other servers , its only "exclusive" for sea server

Exactly. I've never encountered such issue in any other online games, which brought me to assume this portal disconnection problem lies with Dragon Nest SEA and its developers.

Even if it turns out the blame lies elsewhere, that's still no reason for EyeDentity or developers to ignore their players' problem. The fact remains that portal disconnection does exist and it's serious enough to make the game nigh unplayable for some. The number of affected players is increasing each day, as proven by the number of posts in this thread.

Same. Ever since this disconnection happened, I tried downloading other servers of Dragon Nest; I downloaded DN TW (Taiwan) and I can play there, which confuses me as to how only the SEA server got affected by this.

Up.., any news on this yet? my account was hit by this, but this day i dc every single portal. when i reset my router, it fixes itself then when i change char theres the DC again. dont they care about their remaining players anymore...
