My build would look something like this below. Im not sure if I want to use divine combo awakening yet but so far it seems underwhelming. Apparently all the defensive skills in paladin list don't work well without their EX form

This is something I would do. Divine Combo Awakening skill delay is still long but would be manageable by using left click right after to reduce the delay.

You would be using armor break a lot more regularly due to that new debuff so i figured maxed armor break would be ideal

I'm noticing a large focus on divine combo. I kind of glossed over the awakening since it wasn't as flashy (obviously, the only reason I play is for the aesthetics), so I'm not entirely sure how effective it's going to be. How is it in terms of fitting into rotations and such? And how are rotations even going to change (in a general sense) for that matter?

I can agree Divine Combo Awakening is still debatable skill. What I do on my sader in KDN is .. [Goddess Relic] -> [Charitable Zap] -> [Smite] -> [50%/Instant Smite] -> [Mighty Blow] -> [Righetous Bolt] -> [Charitable Zap] and on the remaining times I usually use either [Divine Combo Awakening], [Hammer Hand], [Judgement Hammer].

There seems to be a bit of confusion about Righteous Bolt required for Charitable Zap. Currently in NA (Dec 3rd 2016) that is the case, but in SEA with the awakening it is no longer required to get Charitable Zap. I would like to assume this will stick through when NA gets it and I hope you give a second look at your builds.

You'd use it to avoid getting hit. Some mechs in nest can still hit you even when yo use Heart of Glory. I'd leave it at one though.

Because a dead dps player is a no dps player (why, why did they have to remove the iframe of divine hammer). Plus the time you're in Heart of glory you can easily cover more than the damage of the crusader ult.

So to confirm after the buff. INT will be the go to stat instead of STR?

It doesn't really work that way. Int has always been better. So why did crusaders always stack str? Because it was always easier to stack+ more of it was given on armor, plates etc. So if you have more str slowly start transitioning to int but don't jump on the int wagon right away unless you can get more int than str.

Is there even a point to going balanced RDNL rings? or should I just go for the straight MDMG ones? Literally bought a IDN L STR earring. RIP

To be completely honest, and some people will probably think otherwise, I think using balanced RDN-L rings vs Magic Damage RDN-L rings will only show very minor differences. Something that I've looked into before and I actually benefited more from balanced since well... while magic damage is more of a focus, we cannot throw away the fact that physical damage is also a good contributor to our damage. Crusader's Zeal was also a factor that made balanced better. After awakening comes, magic damage rings will come out slightly better than balanced rings but in my opinion it will be very slight that you will not be missing out on much. Another reason why people go balanced over magic is because of the large difference in cost. Think about magic rings after awakening releases but do not feel held back if you use balanced rings (currently I do).

No, get the magic dmg ones. You can stay str it's fine. Just start the slow change over. I myself am a str sader. there is no rush to switch over.

Something I should have posted earlier as OP of this thread. I do apologise for the heavy delay in doing this. Looking at the skill builds people posted, everyone seems to have some differences which is interesting to see! The build I will use (and tested in SEA server) is as below - for PvE: Click image for larger version

I will also briefly explain why I did certain things like....
Divine Combo (Max [Lv19] WITH awakening) - Timing this will take a bit of practice (to pull off the full damage) but if you do pull it off, then the damage is very great. While it falls short of both the awakening skills and smite EX in terms of the skill damage list in a nest, it's a great skill to use for DPS purposes. Even if you think you will not have time to pull off the full damage, stop it earlier with a left click (right click works too but I think the animation is slightly longer for that) and avoid/do a mech.

Armour Break (Max [Lv10]) - If you are using this for DPS purposes, uhm...don't. But level 10 is there because of the frequency it will be used for debuff and self buff purposes. Of course even at level 10, the damage is not as great so you could use the SP elsewhere (like Aura of Healing, for example).

Righteous Bolt (Unlearned) - I have it currently because you have to for Charitable Zap. Never have I used it in T5 - certainly will not after awakening. You do not need it anymore as a pre-requisite after awakening! While it does reduce Zap's cooldown let Smite EX, Smite EXi and Mighty Blow do that for you. You can pop off Zap's awakening effect if two of the skills are used after the initial Zap.

Iron Will (Learned) and Conviction Aura (Unlearned) - I am poor so I did not reset my build after NA transfer, but sometimes I wish I had Iron will. Not the case for conviction aura (dash, costume speed buff etc already give lots of speed). If you really want that self speed buff, then you probably need to drop Iron Will or somewhere else.

Mental Fortitude (Lv1 - NOT 4 [this is the raise max MP skill]) - Tested level 1 vs level 4 in SEA with the golem punching bag. Yes you run out of MP quicker with level 1 but level 4 also ran out quick. After two 10 minute rotations (one with level 1 and other with 4), there was only a small difference in MP remaining (15% left for level 1, 20% for level 4. The actual number values saw level 1 with a higher number). Of course dashing will make it hard for level 1 but if you have a saint or any class that can recover a bit of MP, then honestly, level 1 is enough.

Aura of Healing (Unlearned) - No SP for this. 3% + Redemption buff heal can be a nice saviour but prefer if we got more damaging skills.

Provoke (Max [Lv6]) - Incase you need to hold aggro. Level 4 is sufficient but to give room for error, I will have it maxed. You should be a sub-tank in a raid setup unless you have two better tanking people!

Dive Kick (Learned) - Everyone who posted on this thread has it, but I may as well explain. I had 1 SP leftover. Dive Kick can put you to the ground quicker. The end.

Everything else seems to agree with everyone who has posted. Let me know of your opinions and whether you agree/disagree with anything!

Yes I agree the amount of times you will be using armor break after its debuff is implemented will be next to all the time!

                Ironwill>conviction aura always

                Every heal matters!

Dive kick has saved me heaps in both pve and pvp. the time youre in the air from a attack during a boss battle is crucial with the quick dive kick recovery considering our lack of aerial capabilities

            • #57
Does armor break actually self buff? It doesnt seem to?

Also smite exi bug makes me sad :<

Majority of this thread would say INT. besides, INT gems should be getting a boost soon to rival with STR and AGI gems. Whenever that would be...
