Awakened telport into gravity well

I'm a level 93 awakened majesty, with the telport awakening skill. I'm having trouble activating it - sometimes, I can get it to work, and I telport and can use the ins skill. Other times, I teleport and collide with an enemy, who alters my course (so I definitely hit something, it seems), but I can't use the ins skill.

Can anyoe explain why it's not working sometimes (most of the time)? Thanks in advance!

It has to hit the intended target with the full length of Teleport. I found it helpful to practice on the PVP dummy in the Combo Arena.

Yeah it takes a little getting used to. I still wish they would just remove the damage portion of teleport and just make it a trigger for an instant Gravity Well (especially since it knocks down)
