Asking an artist to do something that they're uncomfortable with is a huge no-no
Squeezing into someone else's art shop to advertise yourself without permission is also a huge no-no
it's just disrespectful. We can send PMs on the forums now, you could have used it to msg terminal directly

Casaliopa Seems like it was a huge misunderstanding on both parts. What I meant by "shaming" Vylk was that you posted in the thread with some suggestive art, pretty much 1 upping her in a way. Maybe "putting her down" would be more appropriate? Never said it was her character. I mean, her prof picture is of an Archer, so... Regardless, I think criticism is okay, but there was no such thing as that happening here, so I don't know why you mentioned it. I mean, after all, you're the one that took a step further and made the joke that you were selling yourself in a picture, implying you taking revenge by making Vylk look mean for what she said? C'mon, it wasn't like that. And it was the same for you, people misunderstood your joke. Misunderstandings, feels bad.
That's not what matters here, though. Even though you got the creep, x_Terminal, off her back, you still pretty much shamelessly advertised and on top of that, making little emotes like :^) doesn't help people understand your side of the argument, or it doesn't want make them want to understand. It makes them angry and discredit's your argument or what you're trying to say
Yes, this much aggression can be generated for something as minuscule as advertising on another thread, or video, or game. Nobody likes it .You wouldn't like it either, so don't act like it's not a big deal. The thread is made for her art and people who want to buy it, there should be no mention of advertisement or other peoples art.
I'm glad that in the end, you are on Vylk's side about them not quitting and you're also trying to inspire them in your own way. In the end, everyone got the wrong impression of everyone (well, except x_Terminal. Hes not actually a troll, hes a 100% real creep. There's a reason why hes been through a few guilds.)
And just a final thing to say, Jokes are fun and games, but to strangers who don't know who you are, they wouldn't know how to react or if they should react. That's the main reason why things went this way, if that makes sense.
TL;DR: Glad you're helping Vylk in her own way, but be careful about making jokes around strangers or this can happen again. Also, don't make trolly replys w/ :^), it'll just make people angry, which is also not something you want. The community is small, and people always talk to each other, so you don't want to have a bad reputation at all!

If you didn't know that you could PM on these forums then i take it back, but in ur second comment you told him to PM you, couldn't you have taken the initiative and PM'd him first? and yes, she could have worded it more politely i guess??? (it doesnt seem that bad to me BUT i'm not the one involved here so)
Regardless, I see the unwanted advertising as walking into someone else's store and intruding into their business. You don't put posters over someone else's privately owned business,,, its the same thing.
Also, you wouldn't have backed down and thats great and all, but not everyone thinks the same way as you. Which is why we had these misunderstandings.
Is there any way to get a mod to clean up this thread?
