Struggling to choose what to main (merc)

Hey guys! I know this question has probably been asked a few times but I just wanted some opinions about either maining barb or destroyer.

Can any experienced players please share some insight on the pros/cons on picking either of these classes? I've also noticed that destroyers cd's are somewhat lower in comparison to barb skills. Does this technically mean they have more dps over barb?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
