They still exist, some mods need to be enlarged to bypass their detection process. I'm not 100% sure if they are still considered taboo or not~

They're right, please do not ask for this information here, but for future reference;

As far as I'm aware, mods are still a slight taboo but there have been instances where people have submit screen shots and the like to contests and gotten away with it, so I feel like it's one of those things they don't directly address - but again I don't really recommend it.

Multiple websites that used to house a collection of mods were taken down and most mods that you receive or can find have been grandfathered from earlier years, not a lot of people use them anymore since the 'Process Transparent' option has been implemented. Mods generally do not work if not above a specific file size, which I will leave unspecified.
