Is it just me or were they secretly taken out of eggs after the patch on the 19th ? I noticed that not one single person has opened any necklaces, rings, or earrings from that set.

Shiny Flower accessories haven't been in normal dragon eggs since October.

Traditionally, every half-year, they remove one set of accessories and replace it with another. The Shiny Flower accessories are part of the "first half of 2016" set. I don't know why they put them in the Christmas boxes, but yeah. The latest patch marked the end of 2016. New year; new P2W modules.
