This is just based on my observations: There's something wonky about the timers. Ever since the update I've been checking some apples and losing my shit. Indeed the timer does not move if you keep checking it on a short term basis. If you're not in the farm.. it can cause you stress. But lo and behold, when apple was due... it was ripe and ready to be plucked. I don't know what anyone else's experiences are but at least on my end it's some problem with the timer. Other timers are broken too.. 6h merc, muffins, exp event timer (expired later than indicated). A watched pot never boils...
