you know / another quitting thread.
I was actually honestly wanting to get involved with the DN community out of purely good intention after years of not doing so because firstly I've never really had time anymore to even play for the past couple of years and secondly I've always had my best friend, and that was all that I honestly needed, but after I finally decided to get discord a week ago I thought that being in a community type of network would be actually better than a forumer since I assumed people are more active in one place, and such, for directly trading and what not, but today I've learned that it's pointless to even get "involved" with the DN community, well not so much today, maybe more of a final straw.
I've been trying to buy a few costume pieces to complete my set before entirely quitting DN (you know in more false hopes that we may eventually get transferred in the future to another publisher) so I figured, while I learn to use discord I might just find the pieces I'm looking for.
(which by the way, I don't even play anymore, that's the only thing keeping me here right now is this thread, and the pieces I've been in search for)
Today though, something really ticked me off on discord. I get accused of being someone I've never even met before, by someone that I don't even know, by the cancerous pvp community that lurks on that discord purely for the reason of being a Tinkerer? (I mean this is straight up retarded), which I mean wouldn't be a big deal normally, who cares right? I know I'm overreacting about it but it definitely pissed me off purely because of the attitude and my knowledge of how this community usually is (at least from my POV), and I guess so much trash revolving around the issues of DN and it's cancerous player base that has been building up in my mind, with all of that said, keep in mind I've never played PvP, was never interested in it for all of the years I've played.
When I say the player base is cancerous, I mean, everyone I've usually come across with is extremely rude and arrogant (except a few players) , there was also a friend back in 2014 that was pretty awesome, but she has quit as well long ago in 2015 prior to the ED merge.
Just know that the reason why a lot of players quit is because they get shunned by both the game developer in this case, and players for no reason at all, apparently it's what you do these days.
That is just a small part of my reason along with many issues that DN primarily has, I could go on for pages, I guess I've noticed for a while but just kept on having false hope that things would change, my friend has also quit for well over a week, sold his gold for USD$, and entirely moved on to a different game, people don't help out each other like they used to in the past, there isn't any kind of that anymore, if there's any kind of interaction it's only pure trolling at all times and nothing but that, it all gets really old at one point...
I don't feel there are any genuine people in this game anymore, maybe there hasn't been for a while, or maybe I just never met them (beside my best friend, but that's already a given).
Not only is this game dead, the communication from the game developer isn't existent or genuine at all, at times the GM's vanish, we don't know anything if issues will ever be fixed, and if we do, it's usually a "no you can't have this, only the other servers can have this which we regret but we aren't taking it away from them either way it's just you guys who won't have this deal with it."
Cherry don't respond to your tickets, and the GM's I've talked to all say they will forward your tickets and escalate them, three separate times, but in reality there's not much that happens if the ticketing team themselves don't care about getting to the ticket, no matter how much the GM's try, you have to wonder what year you'll even get a response for your ticket if it doesn't get auto closed due to inactivity since no one gets to your tickets. I was told by a GM (which I believe tried to be as helpful as possible in his power, has no power to get to tickets) that he will escalate the ticket and that it will be looked into even after closure, but of course nothing happens as we really don't have a functional ticketing system.
just my two short cents (I could type in a lot more, believe me), and I probably wasted my time writing this but.. I'm never touching this game again , it's just not worth it in any way. I guess that's the bitter taste that Nexon games and their community always leave you. Not sure why I even bothered with DN when I was already bummed out with a Nexon game previously that shut down, as well as with it's kind community, I guess there's nothing but moving forward and learning to never give out any more chances to any games or communities.
This thread will most likely be trolled, but if anyone wants to take their time to read it, or if a new player wants a point of view of someone who's played for 6 years and quits then I know I helped out a new player, even though it's really my point of view, but a lot of the issues with the game itself and developer are facts.
Shoutout to my best friend first of all who made the best decision to sell all his gold and quit this sinking ship, and ViralHeart if she still plays for helping my friend and I, many many years and caps ago especially with Physician builds every single time I bugged her, SachiMizora for helping me back in 50/60 cap, and Donkay for that screamer knowledge, Pounding, Shs, Panpeito, really anyone who's made a difference in the community whether in-game or on the forum, you know the forumers that don't stay online just to troll since they have nothing productive to do with their life, there would be a lot more people to this list that I appreciate that I've come across with during the years, even if they only helped me out once, but they frankly quit years ago.

Jagex releases videos about the game developments almost WEEKLY and the community is is the chillest most helpful group of bros you'll see on ANY mmo (depending on where you're visiting) If you're dead-set on quitting, come join me and SHS on Runescape ^.~ Donkay's in that Runescape Discord too
