Just a thought. I mean all the new classes after Light Fury has been a DPS class. Is it too far-flung of an idea or is it a spin-off waiting to happen ?

A New Support/Healer Class?

Well, a new support/healing class would be a nice touch. However, adding one would add more problems to the 3 existing support classes. How will the new class fit in without displacing the others? Will the new class have a speciality or a niche in order to be considered in Nest/Raid parties?
But yeah, still mad why Bard isn't a thing in DN. But I expect my Bard dreams to remain just a dream considering how DN removed the Party Buff system.

It is the Party-Buffing system that worries me and how the Devs will implement it and how will the player base go with it. IMO, I do not like bringing Party Buffs back as this will only re-ignite the old class discrimination problem DN had to face up until T5 era. DN's class roster is at it's most stable situation, with only a few classes left in the DPS race due to Nest mechanics, lacking damage and level of difficulty.
My problem is if how will the Devs make Bard special considering that Party-buffing was one of the reasons why most of DN's player-base quitted in the first place. Will he be like the others Support/Healing classes? Or will he bring something worthwhile and not be left out in DN's many class choices?

If anything, I guess one thing they could do if this comes true is that rewarding players with short duration buffs (5 secs max maybe?) by executing well timed inputs of skill orders. For example, they could deal some damage (not a game breaking amount) while casting notes or a tune and then buff everyone at the end of the combo. Like how a Machina works.
Something that's gnawing at me is that how's the class progression going to be like and what would be the second class branch if there's going to be one. For example. Bard>Prompter>Virtuoso? Bard>Skalds>Maestro?Last edited by vjdarktm; 10-09-2017, 05:54 AM. Reason: Just added random music related titles for people that sounded cool xD

@vjardktm you read my mind with that Virtuoso/Maestro class xD
Skyros i actually had a thread on the CC forums about a Bard class...just a small discussion since i haven't actually finished my ideas before the transfer...anyways my idea was for Bard to be an aura-based class...kinda like Sona from LoL where she plays a note and something happens then an aura lingers for a few seconds...now for the pros and cons
Pros:
-has the highest number of Buffs/Debuffs in game
-has the stronges Buffs/Debuffs in game
-can't think of anything else xD
Cons:
-said Buffs/Debuffs are auras which comes from the caster and lingers on a small radius around him/her
-requires the party to stay close together to maximize the Buffs
-requires good mastery of the class and nest and precise timing on when to use skills
so yeah this was what i was planning...if i feel like it maybe i'll finish the Bard class idea i was planning to post back at CC forums
