  • For Eyedentity Games

Don't become like Red5 Studio and their game Firefall (Firefail).
Or like IMC Games and Tree of Savior.

Take notes on what Digital Extremes have done with Warframe from launch to now. As a similar self published game who started worse than you guys, their success story should be an inspiration as well as a lesson for Eyedentity Games.
How and what makes Warframe so successful even now? What are they doing right compared to you Eyedentity, Red5, or IMC?

First of all, I'm so glad that there are users who love DN so much just like you.

Now I'm reading articles you shared to us.

I read just a tip of whole articles but it is reminding me about the time we started to service DN.....

Maybe we lost our original intention....

Anyway, I deeply appreciate your concern.

I'll share this article to my team.

We will accept this kind of disciplines.

    Thank you.

      I wouldn't say the intention is lost. It's just currently the horizon for the game is very foggy. Things that drive games to being great don't only revolve around content but also in the communication the developers have with their communities. The issue there is that we're currently unsure who knows what we're saying since feedback is somewhat little(might have gone up, I've been away from the game a few months after T5 came). Great games have great communities, but a great community is built with everyone, developers and the consumers. NA has been in quite a hole for awhile with our previous teams under Nexon not providing communication for long periods of time or just outright going silent for 4 months up until the transfer. Or rewinding back to 70 and 80 cap days where communication with them was at an all time low. I feel the point is clear. But that being said, Eyedenity should definitely consider some things;

1.) Community feedback should be valued absolutely. Not the posts where people speak badly on behalf on it without providing logicial points or just being unprofessional. Acknowledge on those like a petition should definitely be considered. Even if the answer isn't favorable to those requesting, it's better than being quiet on the manner.

2.) Perhaps consider asking the community which type of content they'd like to see in the future. Since we are a different version, not everything will cater to us. But players like myself have discussed in a Discord with countless of hundreds of others about what we'd like to see come back again, like the return of Sea Dragon Nest. This was an absolute favorite of mine before T5 came and I truely hope it comes back with the same rage inducing difficulty it had when first released.

3.) Testing server. I'm not entirely sure if this is even a thing but many players from the NA community venture over to KR to see the new content that has been released there. I feel that if we had a server of our own to test the content before it was released publicly to everyone and see what particular members of the community feel on it. Not everyone will be allowed in, bvut you should definitely find the people who have stuck around this game for a long time to know the ins and outs of the mechanics and who can provide indepth feedback or bugs of the game. Like for example; CraZyZeuS has been here since 32 cap. If he had access to a test server, he can provide excellent feedback on things he feels aren't a great edition to the game, bugs that people can use to abuse things or just ideas on how to improve the content we're getting.

The game's direction is very interesting but I myself cannot say how I feel. My enjoyment for the game vanished when everything was thrown into a beta stage again before having a better standing ground of the game. It's looking good as of now(with the exception of certain classes having a massive disadvantage against other classes such as Machina and Light Bringer) and it can keep getting better but the feedback of the community will make it better for everyone.

I got what you are taking about. Our team is currently feeling that is imporatnat what you said for our game and users. We will follow users and check users' needs to improve our game and give you the much better gaming experience. We agree that comunication between users and us is very serious part to develop DN better.
Therefore, you know, I'm involved in DN to do actual CM works. So, please help me and look what I will do. I'll do my best for DN.
I'll hear what users say and what they need. I believe this will work and I hope many users help me to make this.

The most important thing you should know is that Eydentity Games is now focusing on communication with users!!

Certainly. Don't hesitate to ask people on here for their help for when you need it. Plenty of people here to give you the information you desire.

Wow thank YOU for reading. Didn't expect the first reply to actually be from you guys. Expected this thread to be ignored.

Warframe have very open and engaging developers as well as a great community. They do a lot of interactions with the community and players.
It also has one of the best and very successful f2p model you'll probably ever find. Trust me, it's A LOT better than what games like Dragon Nest or Tree of Savior have.

They also have a youtube and twitch channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/PlayWarframe/videos
As you can see, they often do developer streams.

Awesome developer, interacts with community https://twitter.com/sj_sinclair

Probably one of the best community manager in the game industry, Rebecca Ford. Open, engaging, well loved by the community https://twitter.com/rebbford

Highly active, nice and very helpful community, which btw the developers DE do check up on. https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/
Also, the official forum https://forums.warframe.com/ isn't like this DNNA forum or DNSEA forums. If you look at it, Warframe forum have sections for other regions so it's like one big community.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki One of the best and most helpful wikia for a game. Seriously. Every single players use it because it has all information compiled by and for the community since early days. The moment something new is added, you can expect it to be on there in less than a day.

You probably won't believe me but look at all these. https://forums.warframe.com/forum/3-...e-build-notes/
Now compare this to Dragon Nest. Maybe not DNNA but are the other DN versions like this? Also, that was only the PC section, there's also other Xbox One and PS4 sections, though not as much as PC.

I was a founder for Warframe when it started in beginning. It's not what you think it is. If you played in beginning you would see differently.

I started in Closed Beta too. I have played since the beginning and I don't see any different.
What I'm seeing and talking about are the results. You cannot deny it for what it is now. All games have their share of problems, but Warframe is considerably better than what most f2p games end up as. To get from however bad it was in the past to the stage of Warframe now, you'd need a company like DE.

      Thank you.

I echo everybody else showing gratitude when I say "Thank you for showing up, speaking up, and helping to connect us all."

If you're curious what the biggest issue is with the game, it's not the bugs, or the lack of content.

It's the feeling players have of being lost or neglected. Maybe "forgotten" is a better word.

People who feel unwanted or uncared for tend to go elsewhere. I think the same can be said for this game.

I can think of 3 things ED can do without even fixing bugs which would massive help DN.

      1) Being responsive and active on forums (You're already doing a wonderful job of that, all of us would love to see and hear from you and others like you more, even if it's for relaxing off-topic reasons.)

      2) Helping as much as possible with customer support tickets. We know that CherryCredits currently helps us with that, but many times, tickets take way too long to receive a response, or don't receive any response. A player looking for help needs the help, and things like this makes a player feel uncared for/unwanted.

      3) Transparency. This can mean a few different things. For one, it can mean acknowledging that you are aware of bugs and looking to work on the problem. (Yaya showed a little of this in last month's patch here but it took a long time for this response too.) Another thing transparency can mean is letting us know of things that are being worked on. NOTE: IF Eye IS NOT 100% SURE AN UPDATE IS COMING, SIMPLY SAY "WE ARE INVESTIGATING IF WE CAN DO _____, BUT WE MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO" This allows people to be excited for possible upcoming things while keeping possible disappointment low. But simply and most importantly, let us know what Eye is thinking. This can be achieved with a simple post from you or a mod or another admin every month. Is Eye happy with class balance in pvp? Is Eye happy with the current value of gold in the game? Is Eye happy with the difficulty of the nests/raids in the game? These are simple questions/answers that also tell players that Eye is looking at us and trying to make the game as fair and fun as possible.

If anything I said is difficult to understand, I'll be happy to explain better. Thank you again for joining us!
